**British Armed Forces Discussion Thread**

Ow.

Turns out running 14.1 miles is damn hard when you haven't done any training what so ever. Still managed to pull off a 2:05:34 time which I'm happy with. Now just to spend the rest of the weekend laying on my bed too sore to move, awesome!

looks as though Bastion is getting roughed up a bit again, took some IDF and small arms, couple of yanks killed.:(
reports are saying leatherneck took the hit however from the images shown it looks more like the yank side of the airfield next to the contracters village, probably the easiest place to attack too due to the numerous locals compounds just outside the wire, proximity to a road a K or 2 out.
went running round that way a couple of times when i was in Bastion even took the duty truck for a drive round there, it never did feel the most secure area beyond tower 13...

quite necky of them though, albeit not the first time they have tryed a stunt like this its definitely the most brazen attempt that i can recall.

'Taliban commanders say the attack was to get prince harry'

No....no it wasn't. It was much longer to plan something like that and he's only being in theatre a few days.

ANYWAY! Turns out playing football in Afghan means inhaling at LEAST 3KG of sand...*cough*

Found an old letter from my old man which he gave to me before i shipped out to Iraq just before i turned 18.

So much better than the S10, besides the inability to crush it into a Bergen lol. Drinking water is SO much easier though :D.

That's what we said, I wonder what they will call it. Imagine if it grows up and wants to join the military too...

"place of birth?"....
"Afghanistan"
"lol"
