Better:God dam this song makes me proud everytime I hear it
Well my prospects of joining RAF and University Air Sqadron has gone down the pan for a while now. Been told I got to wait at least a year after my surgery but judging by the botched results of the first operation I'll need another one. So at this rate I'll be lucky if I join in my third year of Uni (just started my first year in Sept).
thought you couldnt even apply for the RAF til next year now anyway?
Aircrew?
WSOP? (weapon system operator)?
Do it...
Now...
Don;t stop and think about it...just do it...
How does the rank of SGT and £34k a year after your training sound?...nice yeh?
Do it...now....just....do it...
why would we get paid early this month?
Unsure, that's why am asking.
I cant see why suddenly they would decide to pay us all early for christmas this year, when was the last time that happened?
Nothings up on JPA, ring whoever deals with your pay/admin etc, I'v heard nothing from any Navy so sounds like its just a wierd rumour wherever you are - are you in a training establishment? Possible cause would be being around trainees that havnt had a christmas in the forces..
Evening Gents.
Sorry to barge into your thread but I was after a little advice regarding the RAF.
I'm currently in training (running and swimming several miles a week along with some gym time) for my departure to RAF Cranwell in a few months time to undergo officer selection.
Is anyone here an RAF officer, or familiar with the selection process? I've already been to the careers office several times so I know the basics of what's expected, I'm just after anything that can give me an edge over the other candidates.
Things I'm already aware of and working on are:
I'm already fit but still working on fitness.
Reading up on operations, aircraft, bases etc.
I'm trying to arrange a visit to a base to get some first hand information from people who already do the job.
I have no medical/criminal issues.
Any advice you can give me would be much appreciated.
