British Grand Prix 2012, Silverstone - Race 9/20

To me it doesn't make any sense stopping the session.

The cars don't have to go out.

Someone will crawl around and snatch pole.

Jake's is mentioning that it's a high speed circuit, but no-one is forcing the cars to drive at high speed.

dont shoot me but another way to look at it, why bother putting more laps in when nobody is going to go faster in worsening conditions.:p

Things may need to be looked at, but I think its more a case of people having to accept that 'Formula 1' as it is is a series that cannot run in heavy rain.

And yet plenty of drivers were getting their car around just fine. Just the odd 1-2 that were pushing too hard. Did you not see the speed Alonso was doing before he spun?

BBC wins coverage this weekend, MURRAY!! :D

I don't know what they can do to let them race in these conditions, It just annoys me whenever the red flag comes out.

Yeah a few times.

They can't guarantee it will be dry then though, so I would expect them to delay it and run it today if they can.

And OMG WILL SOMEONE SHUT THAT BEIGE BINT UP!

and aquaplaining was one of the challenges of wet weather racing.

Its the difference between controlling a controlable car, and controlling an uncontrollable car.

I don't understand the ranting. Delaying the session by a bit to ensure 'proper' running is perfectly fine. Why do people just have to moan about everything? If someone's favourate driver had stuffed it into a wall they would be complaining it should have been red flagged earlier...

This is not going to restart. Let's hope the weather is better tomorrow although the forecast doesn't suggest it.
