British Grand Prix 2012, Silverstone - Race 9/20

And then the team whip out some spaces just before the cars leave the garage.

.

 the same could be said for any number of rules that weallready have.
That's why there is parc ferme straight after the race, so they can test them.

Ride height is to ensure minimum ride height, so you can keep it and use when dry. When wet, you could have any number of mandatory systems to raise the car quickly. Here ride height is unimportant and as you raise the car, the plank also raises. So it's a total non issue.

Is that because he's basing his opinions on a Formula 1 that hasn't existed for 20 years?
I thought the rules couldn't be changed, so how could they do it in the past ;)

Lol :p

I was wondering if they'd put a retractable roof over the Olympic stadium, it's going to be raining a lot till september apparently.

The good thing about track and field (unlike F1), even in heavy rain, athletes compete. They understand that when they compete in a race/event, they may be faced with all kinds of weather, but it is the same for all participants.

Out of interest, why have so many people attended Silverstone, even though they new that today was essentially going to be a wash-out and that parking/travelling in the area is not advised?

Only those with General Admission parking at the circuit were advised not to travel, i.e people who would have been parked in a field. It only affected ~20,000 people.

Everyone with premier parking at the circuit, getting a lift/taxi in, Park and Ride tickets, or who were already camped, which is the majority, were fine.

Have a covered grandstand ticket for this weekend at Luffields with circuit parking. Was all ready to go this morning and decided against it following their advice. I am hoping to get there quite early tomorrow.

Whilst I dont mind missing out today, I was 50:50 whether to opt for Park&Ride vs Circuit parking when buying the tickets. I am quite annoyed that I ended up paying £60 for circuit parking and, as a consequence, have missed Saturday when I could have had Park&Ride ticket and been there today to soak up the atmosphere (no pun intended ;)).

F1 can get rain delayed, its as simple as that.

Cricket gets delayed by rain. Football gets delayed when the pitch is frozen, Skiing gets postponed when the snow isn't right. Why is it unacceptable for F1 to not compete in any weather?

Go make a cuppa and chill out. It could be worse, it could be NASCAR.

Lol, just lol.

He's obviously infinitely more knowledgeable than you about MODERN F1.

When I did GA a few years back, you HAD to do Park and Ride. Circuit parking was for Grandstand ticker holders only, and was additional. I assume thats changed?
