Of course he was. He would be driving around on his own in 5th/6th if it wasn't for the SC.

But SC didn't force others to pit. They possibly made the wrong call. Hamilton also took his first stint longer earning him better tyre life.

Ricciardo also pitted anyway and Raikkonnen would have pitted and been mikes behind.

Ridiculous a car can be last on the first lap and still get up to where they started (I know he was on pole, but he'd lost it to Vettel... so he's lost nothing, except for wear on the engine if he's had it turned up).

Just shows how overpowered the Mercedes and Ferraris are to the rest of the field.

Makes for dross entertainment most of the time.

Was just saying this to a mate. If either Ferrari or Merc drop to last on the first lap it doesn't matter because they're guaranteed 4th still. Throw a lucky SC in the mix and it still gives the affected driver a shot at the win.
