They run the interviews as soon as they've got out of the car to spice it up. After nearly two hours in the car in that heat, last thing you want is someone shoving a mic and a TV camera in your face asking questions that stir up controversy.

I'm in the same boat as you, trust me. Can't stand his personality one bit. You can't dare say anything bad on here though or you'll get jumped upon, even if it is a valid, fair comment.
