Broken Pixel Buds? Good luck getting Google to replace them.

You didn't have the patience to run through their first line support system without resorting to demands of a free upgrade for your inconvenience and you don't think you were the problem?

Well clearly it is. If I was being abusive and an arse would I opt to use a smiley face emoji, thank them and wish them a nice day. No.

It just spoils the narrative of what you lot have set out of me being an aggressive/rude/entitled customer because it fits your own belittling agenda.
i'm most certainly not trying to belittle you or anyone else. you've acted like an 'orrible tit in the chat because you think you should just be given a free replacement set of ear buds - that's not trying to belittle you, that's just a fact you've supplied yourself. the support team needed to find out more information (whether you like that or not or whether they already have it or not) they explained the situation to you that the ear buds would need to be checked by a technician before they could just go 'faulty - get em replaced' - i don't see any replies that were really out of ordinary by the agent but yet you felt the need to come on here, post the transcript and ask why their support is so bad. the support wasn't bad - it just wasn't the insta fix you wanted. people can see that and have replied highlighting your attitude as being a possible issue.......if you don't like that, which you clearly don't that's tough luck and probably not great to read but it's not belittling. you're behaving exactly as a 'karen' would and are being rightly told so.

Op, my guess is Google make the warranty process so drawn out and time consuming that people give up and don’t bother, that’s my impression.

Has anybody else experienced Google's warranty support, is it really this bad?

Nope... I had an issue with my Pixel Buds and they were replaced easily via Google.

Same with the doorbell.

Was very easy and straightforward both times.

Edit: just read that transcript and I know why your buds failed - incessant ranting by the owner for no good reason.

Seriously @norm, you were bang out of order on that support call... Have a word with yourself and, rather than trying to act all billy-big-balls, appreciate that the CSA is doing their job and has a process to follow for a number of reasons including trying to resolve the problem at point of contact and also to reduce fraudulent claims.

Your attitude in that call stinks

probably, like most sodding companies. warranty returns are such a pain in the hoop these days. think amazon is the only one i've used recently where it wasn't a case of jumping through hoops.

How rude were you?

Did you call the CS rep a ****ing **** licking **** **** of a **** ****?

You surely weren't nice and polite to get what you wanted?

I don't think OP will be returning anytime soon :o I do hate it when people are unable to accept they are in the wrong.

It's quite sad really, if he'd just re-read the transcript and realised that, yeah, he did come across as an arse, and taken the comments on board (even if it's not what he wanted to hear), then maybe next time he'd be a bit nicer to the support agent and actually get his problem solved quicker :(

Just short of his 20 year anniversary. Minutes silence for Norm.

This thread has been a nice escape from politics, covid and cost of living. Thanks for the fun times Norm.
