Broken S-max

Maybe if manufacturers put water temperature gauges back in new cars they would save themselves from catastrophic failures like this.

Best of luck with it my friend.

This, I dont understand why they took them out. My Ibiza is missing one and it would be nice to know when the cars near running temp, or more important when its over heating.

So they could put a nice ******** "eco" gauge in in many cases :D

No temperature gauge and electronic handbrakes would stop me buying a car for sure

Well we have the car back now , They replaced the short engine I think he said lol. Fingers crossed it doesn't blow up anytime soon lol

My experience of dealerships on the whole, is that they arent mechanics anymore, just fitters, they just go by what the computer tells them and thats it. They seem lost with the difficult stuff.

Probably because the car is full of computers designed to tell you what is wrong.

Jaguars SDD is absolutely brilliant.

Spoke to soon as we had travelled 12 miles and filled her up with petrol on the way back 2 miles from home only to be pulled over as it emptied all the fuel and coolant over the Old Shoreham road (sorry locals) and is now back at the dealers with what seems to be the same problem :(

Yes I could see the petrol gushing out as it was on the side of the road and green liquid and after I tasted it, it was coolant and lucky it wasn't dog or cat pee pee lol.

As asked a few times already, have you actually spoken to Ford head office yet? I would be going mental and really wouldn't want the car back. Why is it is so stuffed when its a nearly new car?!

Did you buy it from Ford? Or is it on a scheme of some sort?
May as well ask again as I am intrigued to know the answer and what Ford HQ think of the matter.

May have been something as simple as a faulty thermostat all the time...If they continue to not fit temp gauges I have no sympathy for repairs costing them £1000's

Ford HQ are in the mix and we are trying to sort it out with them at the moment .

It was the oil that let go and a fuel pipe that came off but they cannot see where the oil is coming from and yet to get any more details

Well of course my taste buds may have been off at that moment in time but the colour and as well being green lead me to believe it was coolant so it may have been someone else's car that leaked it and I have been tasting their coolant lol

personally id be considering rejecting the car at this point,

it sounds a right bag of lemons
