Broken spark plug :(

sick... ill cross my fingers for you

whats the summary of the work? i thought you had new software and an exhaust and got you 290bhp ish. did you go further from there?

I had a FMIC for a while whuch put the power to ~300bhp. As it stands at the moment the car is stock. All the mods and map were removed at a TMS Performance center a few weeks ago. Thinking about it and looking at the plugs I'm feeling they haven't removed the map or put the wrong one back on.

wow. so it ran nearly a year and three weeks after they "reverted back to standard" it completely falls apart

either bad timing for them, or they did it wrong

Take the plug out and shine something down the hole, see if you can see the top of the piston (if not crank the engine till you can), if it's still running on 3 you might have a nice hole in the top of that piston.

If thats the case then the electrode might indeed be in the sump...............

Ok all pistons are fairly coked up with carbon but piston 3 and 4 are slightly damp with I guess oil (valve stems??) but there isn't any visible holes or impact marks on the pistons.

Any oil in the expansion tank?

Could be oil, could be coolant, might even be fuel, (lolz) have you got something like a very stong white cloth (that won't come apart) which you could poke onto the top of the piston and soke some of it up?

Odds are its oil, you really need to check how intact the turbo is.
