Thought I'd got in, they took my money but then didn't claim.. wasted another 15-20 minutes waiting for that. Just trying again, but sadly this feels worse than the 3080 launch :(

Nvidia shop literally never works for me at release.

I don't get it. How can a big mega corporate not have an efficient website and bandwidth for a launch to buy things? This isn't the first big release yet it keeps happening. How do they keep making the same mistakes after so many years... Same happens to Sony and others. It's not like they're new to technology commerce.

It's not a mistake. As long as stock levels reach 0 they aren't bothered, generally.

There's a difference between stock selling out and your website grinding to a halt that you cannot even get it to load over the years to even see what is there.

There is a diffence but only to you and not them lol. They would have sold out in less than 15 minutes and regardless if it sells out instantly or takes an hour of you having to click F5 and pray it doesn't effect them. Paying for additional capacity however does.

Yeah, the website really **** the bed this time. Kept crashing to the cloudflare page and kept receiving lots of strange error messages like "maximum weight exceeded". Took me about an hour to get the order in trying multiple browsers on multiple devices using different internet connections. Now seem to have two orders in the system - only one where the payment has gone through and I've received an email. We'll see what turns up tomorrow...
