BRSK

Im thinking of signing up to these guys too, as a lot of you also, ive had enough of VM, im on the 1gb package, but it has a shoddy 90MB/s upload speed, the Hub 5 is just as bad as any of the other hubs and wifi doesnt reach the kitchen, which brings me onto my next question, I have the VM hub in modem mode, and have a GL.inet AX1800 Flint router connected to the hub, this is easily covering the whole house for me attached to the wall directly under the stairs, would I be able to do the same with the BRSK router supplied ?

I signed up to brsk in November 2022.

We are still waiting for our area to go live so Essentially still in pre order stages.

Anyway, had a call from a brsk sales person today. They were doing a deal that wasn’t advertised on their site and can only be had via them.

For the 1Gb, first 7 months at £3 per month then 17 months at £45

Worked out £50 cheaper than the deal I got last year. So went for it. My online account updated to show the new deal.

If anyone wants this deal. Give me a shout il forward you the sales persons details.

I believe with BRSK you just remove there own branded router and connect your own using a ethernet cable from the ONT.

No need for router/modem modes

I signed up with BRSK earlier this week with the deal on their website. £22.50 for 24 months. That's almost £250 cheaper over 24 months than your deal so I'd speaker to them or cancel and sign up again.

is this for the 1gb service ? I’ve been checking their website each week and have seen no such offer for the 1gb service.

Yeah for the BetterNet1000. I've just checked right now and it's still showing at £22.50 for 24 month contract. I got a leaflet posted through my door about a week or so offering the same for £30 which I thought was a decent offer so was pleasantly surprised when it was £22.50 on their site. If its not showing for your then maybe they are doing deals based on the post code. Must think we are paupers in Blackburn :-p

thanks. Definitely seems to be location based. Even Black Friday 2022 was half price for one year. Then full price for 12 months

August was £30 per month for 24 months

Il see if I can get a better deal

Yeah, he's there now, but I'm at work now until 10pm. They gave me an excuse when I rang that his previous job overran, but when he showed up, my wife asked him why he was late and he said we weren't on the job card! Not the best way to start! Hopefully they will give me something as good willl, supposedly someone is ringing me back to discuss! I'll not hold my breath waiting for that call! :(
So the equipment has been installed, but theres still an issue with the provisioning. :( Have to wait until all the lights go green on their equipment then its on, the Engineer thinks it may be monday / tuesday, but could be anytime I guess! At least they don't have to come in to the house to sort this out as its something in the street, hoping they just need to activate something or plug something in to sort it! :)

I got the £30 / month for 24 months deal too, its changed to '£3 Per month for the first 3 months. Start paying £45 from month 4' I did a dummy order from my neighbours address and don't see the £24 offer so must be postcode based as somebody else said.

I contacted the sales person and they said it depends on your area. She called it the Early Bird Promo specials. They can’t give it to an area that doesn’t allow it.

Il try again next month as probably be a while until my area is done.

Hope this is sorted ASAP for you
It was connected when I woke up this morning!..

Lovely glad it's all sorted for you!

I cancelled BetterPhone as they wouldn't share the configuration and I don't really use the phone, when the amazon voucher arrives I'll probably put that to a decent router RT-AX86U Pro?
I managed to grab the phone settings before they disappeared off the technicolour router! will try them with my old Voip phone through a regular ethernet port. Ive also connected the technicolor through my existing network so I can maybe use that instead if the settings I grabbed don't work. I plugged the wan port of the technicolor into my normal router, and it seems happy to think it has a broadband connection!! Will see if the phone is fooled once the number is ported over.

oh, and be careful plugging the new router into the Nokia ONT, I managed to rip it off the wall the first time! I was trying to do it one handed! So hold onto the ONT while you push in the new cable!
