Hey guys, so I may be having the same problems you're having and what not, I'm not sure.

But I got my internet installed today (infinity) and since around .. 1:30am 'ish, I've been losing connection on both the PC and Xbox and when I checked the router, the "internet" light, that had changed to a yellow and it was flashing, the internet came back after a few minutes, maybe 2-3 minutes.

Could this be the same thing as these packet losses and these spikes in speed or what? I'm confused as to what's going on here.

I did a spoeedtest last night (about 23:00 and 02:00) and the dl had dropped to 58k but the upload was still 12 mb. All back to normal this morning though.

I have had the issue with EA on infinity I have logged a complaint, I also have issues with this site at the same time! I don't know if anyone else does as I couldn't be bothered to red the whole thread.
Thanks

I just put myself through to India. Such a waste of 10 minutes and then he cut me off when I started to get difficult.

This is why I email if I can as talking to an Indian call centre makes me rage as they they state the obvious unplug the modem/router etc I know they are trying to help but when your say it's there end then they still want to do things your end it's time to open a window and scream!

Last night a lot of websites were loading very slow including the OcUK site. Did a speed test and my speeds and latency was normal. I couldn't even load the BT service status page!

This morning it seems normal now...

This might get lost in the other problem but ever since moving from 2Mbit O2 Broadband to 30mbit BT Infinity I've suffered sporadic problems with BBC Iplayer. Sometimes it works fine but a lot of the time it doesn't - it constantly buffers or gives me an error message saying my connection has insufficient bandwidth. But nothign else is affected, all speedtests are fine, downloads are fast, ping in games is low... just iPlayer often doesn't work properly.

Any suggestions?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/diagnostics

Right click any iPlayer video > Toggle console window. It will give CDN & bandwidth info.

I had a similar issue with one streaming service, cant remember which now but it was because i was blocking adverts. Turning off adblock on their site fixed it.

Maybe not your problem but i live in hope :D
