BT Infinity has been installed!

Im seeing download speeds of 4.2MB/s from Nvidia download site.

Nice... Interleave should switch off during the night so pings will drop

It's like an extra level of error checking and, if necessary, error correction. It basically forces a packet resend if there's a corrupted packet. It also plays hell with the latencies on the line.

Basically instead of repairing a dodgy packet it re-downloads it - 99% sure.

So does that mean its worth while not to do any heavy downloading for the first 10 days?

Downloading shouldn't be a problem as they're not dependent on quick response times. Gaming could possibly be a different story, but even with interleaving you should be fine as the signal on Infinity is so quick once it reaches the optical cable grid.

Thanks for all your help with this, you and who ever else advised me.

I had some difficulties getting wps to work with my ipad, but I just used the old fashioned wireless method, although the engineer told me that wps was for the Apple devices..

They'll tell you a lot of things.

To be honest, I've never bothered with WPS. I can see how it'd be nice and easy, but yeah. Then again, I mostly use static IPs on my systems anyway as I use a lot of port forwarding and traffic rules.

The engineer told me also not to turn off my equipment for the next 3 days, he even told me to leave it on 24/7...

BT FON seems to be off on the home hub by default.... I hope so.

I never do, anyway with BTW it will / may screw your profile if you do.

My speeds have made a significantly better online gaming experience.

Fired up BC2 and I can feel the difference.

Northwich - Cheshire

What exchange are you on? By the looks of things the amount of people connected to the exchange can make a big difference at peak times..
