Andi.

Looking good, all that lovely bandwidth, I'm just download the Internet ;)

Oh that is strange, with those rates i was expecting you to say around 600m or thereabouts. I was trying to use it as an estimation of what mine might end up being, as your figures are slightly lower than my predicted low values at 450-500m or so.

I wonder what is causing that low sync rate in your case then

A friend of mine in Lincoln gets very similar speeds to mine, and I believe he is actually closer to his cabinet too.

I blame Lincolnshire.

Having DNS problems with BT the last few days, changing DNS servers doesn't do anything and I've read up it's something to do with the way BT are blocking sites from court orders. Intercepting traffic before it reaches the DNS servers.

Hi guys,

I was originally down for a September live date but that got put back to December. Any ideas how long before things start to happen? The Open Reach checker still shows December 14 but I suspect it will get delayed again :(

Well one of the sites I have been have appalling performance with is actually here (with 30secs to to load a page, e.g. a subforum, at times ...) ... not sure why they would be blocking here ...

I am having problems with websites loading.. its just hanging for ages... I keep having to re fresh etc to get it going its been doing this for a few days now!
tried rebooting my mac.. and router and it is still the same
any ideas?

I've also been having the problems with websites loading for the last few days. Doesn't make any difference if I use BT, Google or OpenDNS DNS Servers. There are a number of threads about it on the BT Forums but no response / solution yet.

I was just coming here to see if anyone else was complaining of the same.

General browsing can be slow at times as if it's a DNS issue. Some sites that work, comeback with an error. Retry and it works.

I use Google DNS and thought it might be that, but now Im thinking it's mostly likely BT interferance.

I get the connection was reset quite a bit, when trying to browse working webpages.

Changing DNS does nothing as from what people have said on the official forums, traffic is being intercepted before it reaches those. A mod has just posted saying the issue is being looked at, a rather late response considering many people have been having this issue for 5 days now. Hopefully it's fixed soon.

My bt business fibre has also been very slow lately

I'm on a rolling contract now on my Infinity so can leave at any time, I'm tempted to go but don't really know if any of the other providers will offer a much better experience as it's all on the same BT network with fibre isn't it?

Definitely some interception going on, seems to have settled down for me but for a couple of days it was pretty bad with timing out or ultra slow first time connecting to a site.

I have a feeling there is a bit more to it than just site blocking :S

anyone else having problems with bt ??
