BT Infinity & FTTx Discussion

Looks like BT are having major issues at the moment, router's dropped it's connection.. unable to reconnect

Occasionally reconnects but picks up an internal IP address range (172.16.0.0)

Thank god for unlimited tethering

I wish they would fix it - it's making my wallboard look a right mess with all the connections offline!

Ever sort out your line fault Nightstalker?

I see your thread over on the PN Forum hasn't been posted in for a while!

Yep, randomly one morning G.INP enabled itself and been synced at 80/20 for nearly 3 weeks now.

SNR is still all over the place though, but it's not affecting stability or sync since G.INP went live.

Some BT Retail customers are suffering, but it's not everyone. BT re sellers are loosing diagnostic/wholesale facilities so if you have an unrelated fault you may find your TS isn't able to fully investigate atm.

Sigh typical cannot get on the internet to see BT is down so i am fumbling about blaming my HH3. I did 4-5 resets and spent an hr in the hub settings and reinstalling firefox because the light on the modem was still green only the hub showed red for 3 hours. Utter gits i only re-contracted yesterday too for £21.85 and spent 49mins on the phone through three different people to do so. Oh and they still wont give me a Homehub 5 and told me it was worth £200.

Liars, Morons, Idiots i could go on all day here about BT and how useless they are, And they will want £196 now in March for the years line too! :(

These are our line stats according to the SR102. "Line testing" started last Tuesday but we only managed to plug the router in yesterday! It since powered off this morning as we tripped the house electrics. This is what we're predicted to get:

Am I right in thinking it will sync at the lowest speed first and then start boosting the speed, providing the line is "capable"?

I've phoned Sky and have an Openreach appointment booked for next Tuesday. Any other ideas I could try? I have a filter plugged straight into the test socket :).
