Since the first phone call in June I must have spent at least 18 hours on the phone to BT and had about 50 individual phone calls and this is not an over exaggeration. Repeating myself at least 30 times. For it still to not be working is atrocious. I found this website called http://www.btcomplaint.com/ that is collecting all the complaints it can find and then they are going to the OFCOM and see if they can solve this fascist monopoly called BT.
Go in twitter, complain about be and the @btcare guys will contact you immediately. I've had problems sorted out by them several times.
To be fair to BT, my original opinion was "BT ? No beeeeping way!" on Infinity; but several people I trust had it and told me to give it a go...
I placed my order, and waited.
I got a phone call from a nice english woman a few days earlier, telling me she was checking up on my stuff and had noted that somehow my order was for a third, new, phone line... She wanted to check if it wad the case.
It wasn't obviously, it must have been a website snafu, and she very nicely fixed it all, called back within 10 minutes to tell me all was OK, and that she had found an EARLIER appointment for my install (a werk earlier) if I was interested. Of course was!
I was gobsmacked, PROACTIVE service from BT !
Then the BT guy cane for the install, and he was nice, reasonably tech savvy and helpful, did the job cleanly and didn't try to babysit me either. Pretty good time there too...
So I don't know, maybe Infinity has some "special" people at BT, but so far, I'm impressed.


How long are the trials lasting again?
