BTCC 2013 Season

Yeah, but from that S2000 only class cup thing, which only has about 4 competitors. They were well down the order overall. They then crashed in the second race and retired from the 3rd.

Seven, and as others said the regulations have allowed the NGTC cars to pull away now that the majority of the teams have their NGTC cars ready. Hence the creation of the Jack Sears trophy to give the teams with S2000 cars something to fight for because there's no chance of one winning overall.

Cheers Marvin. Ill go for a wander around the GP loop. You never seem to see many people round there on the TV coverage? I seem to remember chatting to someone about it and there isn't any speakers for the commentary round there?

I love going up to the GP loop, it's a much better experience just hearing the cars fly past without any commentary on the speakers.

Our paths must have crossed, I was stood in that tent for quite a while!

True, didn't really think about it at the time to be honest. Hmm. I didn't really miss the commentary I guess...

If you're that bothered you could just get a cheap radio...

I knew Mat and Aaron would be in there at that time so I just jumped in and got a couple of pics, fed up with elbows in my back. I also had some stupid woman pushing into my backpack for the whole time I was queuing for the pit walk, as if pushing me is going to get you further...

I can't stand that. I'm gobby though, I would turn round and tell them to step back.

Yeh I had seen on Twitter that they would be there. They didn't advertise is very well other than that. I was there when they rolled up, and they stood there for about 2 or 3 minutes until anyone decided to go and get a signed postcard!

The only annoying thing about the pit lane walkabout is we head up to the top of the pits first and walk our way down. So we get to miss all of the MG/Honda hype. However when we got to the bottom and wanted to exit the way we came in. We were told we had to go all the way back up to the top. Which then took ages to filter out through the small gate...

Logic seems to fail on the Marshals...

Makes more sense really, I could tell it was from top to bottom from the notable lack of people walking back down the pits towards us - this time I got to see every garage even when trying to push through at get some pics of the MG/Honda garages, at Brands I was being turned around by the time I got to the 4th garage along.

This is why Knockhill, is and always will be my favourite track. The "pits" are essentially accessible all the time, you get to watch the teams work on the car. And there's no marshals dictating where you can and cannot go. Plus being so close to the action on the track is good too!

I think my ears will be sore this year tho, the BMW's almost deafened me at Donny.

I'm contemplating going to Knockhill this year, I won't make a yearly thing out of it but it'll be good to go once.

I was stood on the craners just where they changed into top gear with a massive backfire :D

:D

It was worse at Brands at the exit of Druids where you're much closer to the track, made a few toddlers burst into tears!

I will put up the rest of my pics tonight, I've ended up with so many keepers (rare for me) it's taking a while to pick out the most interesting ones.

The view is great too. You can see 90% of the track from 90% of the spectator areas. The only bit missing most of the time is the hairpin, and if you watch the hairpin you can't see much of the rest of the track (unless you bag a spot on the mound near the commentary tower).

My favourite spot is on the straight between the chicane and Clark, seeing all of the sideways action as they get greedy over the kerbs.

Hi all, I used to be an overclockers shopper many years ago, but haven't been to the site for quite a while.

Anyway, I've been searching for BTCC and stumbled across this forum - please see the below.

I've put together a free Android fan app for BTCC which aims to help fans identify drivers and cars. I am looking for more pictures and was wondering if I could use any of yours?

My app is available on Google Play here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...IxMiwiY29tLm11bHRpcGllLmJ0Y2MuZHJpdmVycmVmIl0.

The plan is to show a list of cars and drivers, and tapping on a picture will scroll to the next in the list.

I've seen a lot of good pictures on here, but I don't want to take them without credit. I've found dnbcat's album on imgur, but there was no way of contacting you through there, so I'm hoping you see this on here. I'd happily give anyone a credit in the app.

Thanks,
Chris
