Soft tyre is exempt from Thruxton. They will all use the "special" Thruxton only tyre for all 3 races.
It apparently prevents as many punctures...
Will be off to Thruxton if weather holds out
Meant to be a lovely day on Sunday
Don't forget the suncream! There were plenty red faces at Donny including mine!!!
Where's the fun in that?
I've lost count of the number of cars that blew a left front in the last couple of laps over the years...

Special Thruxton tyre didn't do Andrew Jordan much good sadly, gets a puncture on the last lap when leading and ends up 11th!
Unlucky for Jordan.
Nice drive from Mat Jackson to finish 7th, has some serious pace today, which is nice to see. Was attacking all curbs too and was fully expecting a puncture!
Also what was people's opinion on the Shedden/Plato incident? I thought it was shed dens fault by turning into Plato... Bizarre move on his part I thought.

some good racing today! such a shame for Jordan! hes probably my favorite driver on the grid! also a shame for Plato with his puncture!
sheddens wall incident was his own doing, he came across the front of plato, was he really expecting plato to back off and let him through.......this is jason plato! haha
should have been Jordan on 1st for race one, and then a 2nd in race two!
shame for smith and pirtek in race three! should have been a second place! he really deserved it with the way he defended!
Still cant take anything away from Matt Neal! Drove well in all three races! Also Tom Onslo-Cole drove sensationally considering that car is only 8 weeks old!

Also im assuming everyone saw the woman that fell over the dunlop sign in the last Porsche race! now that was funny!!!!
Great racing, was very hot there this morning and cooler in the afternoon. We all got a bit sunburnt The Formula Fords look so much more modern now this year with the changes, really want a go in those or the Ginetta's

I wasn't that impressed with Thruxton as a spectators track, much prefer Brands and Silverstone. Why are they the only track to charge extra for Paddock entry?
There was some good racing and it seemed fairly clean this weekend, very little in the way of major shunts. I'm quite pink today, it was so nice to have some good weather for BTCC for a change
