BTCC 2013 Season

The Astra will be a 5 door because 3 door cars can only enter if they have the same silhouette as the 5 door variant. That will rule out coupe like hatchbacks.

Also because the cars have to be a minimum length of 4.4m and some of the 2/3 door variations are not long enough.

I'm really looking forward to this season. It's looking like it will be a full grid too. Bring on Brands.

The 3 and 5 door Astra do have the same silhouette, don't they? Certainly not a bigger difference than the 1 Series and thats clearly OK as WSR are using the 3 door.

The 3 Door Astra is 4290mm long and the 5 door is 4419mm so I'm guessing that's where the 3 door is falling foul of the regs.

WSRs story is that they gave the designed to the sticker maker spelt correctly, they were printed wrong.

Nobody noticed until the reveal!

Both Jordan and Smith will be racing under the Pirtek Racing banner this year - I believe Pirtek have extended their support for the 2014 & 2015 seasons already
