Build 6 Bitspower SM8

Did you have to do anything in particular to use the Bitspower fittings on acrylic or do they work "out of the box" so to speak?

No they are made for it - I used these

1 x Bitspower Multi-Link Adapter 1/4 inch - matte black £4.88
Total : £7.16 (includes shipping : £1.90).

Thanks all for your comments. The build is not finished yet and I still can't decide on the colour scheme. Not sold on the white just yet.

Thanks man. So this would be the Black Sparkle equivalent? So how do they work, are they compression fittings? Or some sort of push in fitting? It's hard to tell from the pictures.

Yes - they just have 2 internal rubber O'rings that grip the tube.
If your investing try the following fittings they are really nice to use and work a little more like a compression fitting. I have a few of them and tempted to swap out all the fittings for them

1 x Bitspower Multi-Link Adapter G1 / 4 inch OD 12mm - Matte Black £4.99

OK - So I think it needs some colour perhaps. Help needed any thoughts?

Excellent, thanks guys. Ironically the ones you linked are the ones I was looking at!

Also, I am quite fond of the white but would lean towards red of the above! :)

Just copped you're using 12mm OD tubing, it looks great! Don't know what the fuss about using 13 or 16mm OD tubing is. This looks perfect, and in a big case as well.

Going to grab some dye tomorrow and give it a tinker at the weekend.
Brian's got me thinking here and I think the rigid tube OD size could be my niggle. I'm a long way from happy with this build for some reason.

Honestly folks be as Brutally honest as you want if you think it needs something - I'm all ears. I was
Pretty proud of my TJ07 and thinking about putting it back together

All these plaudits including mine about this stonking build you have come up with, and yet you say you are a long way from happy with it. Must admit I am very surprised - having said that I can see your point about the tubing size - this has been one of the things that put me off rigid tubing apart from the extra hassles involved in using it. I still say your build looks clean, very tidy, and aesthetically pleasing, at least to me.

How about going to conventional 19/13mm tubing and making the runs as straight as possible - it can be done. Hang in there and don't do anything rash. Let it wash over you for a few days and then see if you still feel the same. Keep going though - you are doing some nice stuff on the build either way.

I like the white. If you were to use red choose a darkish red. Not a happy bright one. Preferably a transparent dark red. Dragon blood ;)

I think most colours would look great tbh :D

Maybe the Mayhems I am using? Yellow in daylight and bright green under UV.

The TJ07 is your finest work so far Paul.
I love this build too very clean and very minimal.

Maybe 13mm primochill color tubing of your choice and just clear fluid.
Give the primochill ghost and revolver fittings ago?
What is it that you don't like ?
Or is it just not as good as the TJ07 in your mind?
