120's pretty brutal for plastic :p

tbh, I got a multi-pack from the rainforest which was fairly cheap, you might want to start high and work down.
like, 1000 or something.
I'll see if I have some spare, I might be able to chuck a few grits in an envelope and post you them

It definitely has left some marks like you can see on the picture but it hasn't taken too much off. I did try with some wet/dry sandpaper which is super high grit and all it did was polish it rather than frost it.

When I first saw that pic I thought it was fractures in the pipe due to bending then read it properly to realise its frosting effect you are after, looks cool but I'm sure the pic doesn't do it justice.

Haha,

It looks much smoother in person but some of the scratches are more visible than others. Suppose that's what I get for using my phone to take pictures.

I think I'm going to end up frosting all of the tubing as well as the res :D.

Wow that frosting looks epic. :D

I was thinking about using hardline tubing on my next build, do you need specific fittings for it?

Awesome build so far by the way! :)

Hopefully all things going well I should have the case with me by the end of next week. Only problem now is getting hold of all of the gear I need because OcUK haven't had stock of the rads I want and wont for some time it seems. Kind of need everything to be here before I start my build or ill be without a computer for a while.

Cheers about the frosting. For hardline you do need special fittings. You cant use the regular compression fittings or barbs. They're the same price pretty much though. You just need the bending equipment like the silicon insert and a heat gun.

i noticed that when i was pricing up half the stuff was out of stock or they didnt do it.:(

hey,
Just to let me know, I've got some pics I could upload tonight of some 600 grit sanded tube, gives a nice finish.

Yeah, would be lovely to see :). Think I'm going to end up doing all the tubing and the res.

In other news I have no idea at all as to what is going on with my case over at Parvum. Last e-mail I had from them was on the 10th of feb (2 weeks ago) stating that there was a little more work to do but I would have the case by mid next week. So basically last week. I've sent them a few e-mails since then asking for an update and not heard back to either. Don't know how else to get in contact with them since I don't have a phone number. The only reason why I am worried is that usually it would only take a day to get a reply from them. Don't suppose anyone knows if they have gone on holiday or anything? I just don't want to come across as a pain to them but would kind of like a status update. Any advice people?

Well they're quite a small company, so they do get very busy sometimes.

I'd advise pinging them again, maybe try facebook as they might see a single message easier.

Also paulm71 up there seems to live close, might be able to pm you a number etc

was up there today, they are mega busy getting custom work done, i think i saw your case, dont worry it wont be long, give them a message on there facebook page, im sure they will put you right, plus its better to take your time and let them do there thing than rush them, plus give's you more time to save for more hardware :D ive just put my order in, i dont care how long it takes cause i know the quality you get from them, but i can understand when you just want to start though. :)

+1 for the quality
It's so lovely :p
I've got to hold myself back from ordering more custom work to finish the pc!

Thats the thing with modding. Once you start it becomes an obsession, id work there for nothing to help them out if they would let me, id be in my element. :D

Well I got an email from them saying everything is done but they have to figure something out with the dust filters I wanted to be in them (Imo thats the only gripe I had with Parvum cases, also my room has hardwood floor so dust seems to form everywhere :( )

They said they would get some pictures over today if they can so fingers crossed of some real pictures.

I'm not really wanting to rush them and be "that guy". I know things take time but it was just odd not hearing from them in 2 weeks. Even if they said it would be another 2 weeks I wouldn't mind one but, just wanted to know where we were at to be honest. Really glad they got back to me though and I kind of feel bad knowing they were swamped.

Palum, that's just against the rules that you get to see my case before me lol. Did it look smexeh?

they always look good, they had some great custom ones there that people had designed. If you look at my project i put akasa fan filters between the panels to keep dust out, keeps everything dust free, plus when i need to clean the filters i dont have to take all the side off, it maybe away around it for you.:D

That's pretty logical.

Does it work with rads?

I'm not entirely sure how they have done the dust filters in mine to be honest but hopefully I will know soon enough. Hopefully they have made them removable since I'm going to be using hardline tubing so I cant have radiators or anything moving around when I take panels off.
