Bullying - Who's in the wrong here?

Breaking someones leg with a bat is not excessive

Afterwards, for example, cops arrest the guy who robbed the shop and take his gun, they should for example be able to shoot him in his arm as punishment for armed robbery.

:D hahaha classic. When the day comes that Snowdog gets a clue about anything, OcUK is going to be a duller place.

I think until you have had your property broken in to in the middle of the night with your wife by your side and your child asleep next door, you have no position to comment on what you deam 'excessive'.

So you wouldn't even want to hit me with a bat when I'm in your house nicking your laptop and brand new tv and stuff ? Riiight...

You're not talking about defending yourself though, you're talking about revenge. We are allowed to defend ourselves just fine in this country, it's when you hunt them down and beat them into submission with a baseball bat that the courts tend to frown on.

Of course people do, they have the right to comment on anything and deem whatever they wish as excessive or not as the case may be.

You have the right to disagree and state why you disagree, you do not have the right to silence them.

A couple of schmucks tried to rob my wife and I at knife point once, I didn't kill them or break their legs, I simply incapacitated one and the other ran off. Anything else was not necessary.

I'm not talking about revenge, I'm talking about far heavier punishments...

How are you supposed to capture and hold the burglar ( which is legal) until the cops arrive without violence ?

Theft and especially armed robbery should be punished A LOT more badly, at least far more badly than a motorist doing 63 mph on an urban dual carriageway in the middle of the night, armed robbery is, but just theft isn't.

You were just talking about getting a robbers gun off him and, once in custody, shooting him in the arm!!

But you ARE allowed to use appropriate force! If i disturb a burgular in my house and we get into a scuffle and i subdue him using resonable force, i am totally fine. If i go up to him and shoot him in the back of the head while he's stealing my TV - that is not appropriate force. Simple.

*sigh* please link me to a source where a UK motorist got a more significant sentence for doing 62mph on a dual carriageway, than a an armed robber.

That is an acceptable punishment, yeah.

If he has a gun and threatens to use it, then yes it is.
Otherwise it isn't, but knocking him out with a bat or breaking his leg with a bat is appropriate force really.
Call it, a job risk... Don't want it, don't be a ******* thieving burgling ****.

*sigh* I suggest you get glasses:

And me thinking thieves should be punished more badly, applies to anywhere.

Being robbed? Keyboard to the knees
Rape? Keyboard to the nads
Verbal abuse? Keyboard to the face
Dont like someone for no apparent reason? Wave keyboard violently in a figure 8 motion above head.
Bullying? Power Bomb!!

The boy who was been bullied was totally in the right to stick that other kid on his head. Utterly utterly deserved. I mean he was punched in the face twice and just stood there, everyone has their breaking points. Good on that kid for standing up for himself.
No doubt you will have the safety brigade coming along saying the fat kid was in the wrong, and "you could kill someone by doing that". Well when your being picked on and being abused constantly, your not really thinking straight are you? you just react and fight back and thats that.

Goon on that kid for fighting back.
