Out of everyone I know, I'm the only one getting an Xbox - everyone else is getting a PS4 or nothing. I've never felt like switching over to the PS4 though. In fact, when Watch Dogs was delayed, if I had pre-ordered a PS4, I'm pretty sure I would've cancelled it and waited until next year, but not so with the XBOne.
I've always preferred the 360 experience over the PS3. Apart from getting the free games each month on PS+, there's nothing that I prefer about the PS3 over the 360 and I expect it will be a similar thing with the XBOne and PS4. I'm not fussed in the slightest that the PS4 is technically more powerful and that games will, in all likelihood, look or perform slightly better on that console over the XBOne for the duration of their lifetimes, just like I couldn't care less that the 360 regularly had the better looking/performing cross-platform games this generation.
For me, the whole experience is worth much more than a slight loss in visual performance (and, to be honest, it's a difference that I can't even say I see. I thought I could when watching a side-by-side of AC4 the other day, only to notice it was a PS4-to-360 comparison!).
I've never used Kinect for it's camera capabilities, but I regularly use the voice commands to control the console, especially when watching something on Netflix, so extending the voice controls for XBOne will definitely enhance the experience for me.
I also really like the idea of being able to quickly switch back and forth between activities and I can see myself using this a lot once all the apps start getting rolled out.
For the people saying that anyone buying an XBOne over a PS4 is "insane" or that the console is an embarrassment.. they need to get a grip. The difference in graphical quality is only one part of the whole experience. For some people it's a very large part, for others (including myself) it's not that important. I can't believe that for anyone though it's the only consideration. If it was, they should probably stick to PC gaming.
