Bye Bye Game!

How mental have their shares prices been?
I'm sure they went as low as 0.5p and then two days later were up at 4p?
What are they now?
Some people could have made and lost some quite decent amounts of money with Game lol.

are all the stores closing?

in leicester town both game stores are open and as no signs to close..

They won't close until they go into administration - and they might still keep them open to sell off stock if they decide that's the best way to claw back some cash.

What could also happen is the administrators sell off some of the stores, either to get cash if the shop is a freehold, or to save on rent.

I don't understand why GAME haven't had financial problems sooner, you don't need to have a business degree to realise having a Game store and a Gamestation just 10/15 meters away from each other makes no sense especially with another Game only a minute away from both of them..

Hope somebody with decent business sense does buy them up, would be a real shame for all of the workers to lose their jobs because the people at the top were too lazy to notice and deal with massive problems right under their own noses..

True that, here in Luton there are 2 GAME's and 1 Gamestation all within 5 minutes of each other.

Even worse in a shopping centre they are two !!

In Norwich they have a fairly big Gamestation just inside the entrance of a shopping centre, then they have a large Game store about 10/15 metres away just outside the shopping centre.. It is so unnecessary especially as now Zavvi is gone, the only competition is HMV who have 1 store in the entire city..

Just a shame that it is going to be the people in the stores hardest hit, when the people at the top have allowed GAME to walk blindly into the recession been too busy sitting on their arses thinking about their paychecks to try and make the business more sustainable.

Seriously, its well worth a punt if you have a little bit of disposable. Pulled 10,000 shares myself. Worst case, you are down 300 quid. Not a huge amount really. Best case, and they get their act together, you could easily see that pick right back up. They were 62p only a year ago. Low value, high risk, high gain.

wat

There is an HMV in Chapelfield and there is an HMV in the city centre near GAME.

i'm suprised at the negativity towards game.

I myself remember the days of the ps1/2 xbox, this is where you would go for your games, all excited at the latest release. they have done a good job.

I diddnt realise gamestation was part of the game group though, suprises me as in milton keynes they are quite literally 100 yards away from eachother and always busy, then in another part of the shopping center is another game, why on earth have 3 shops in one shopping center i do not know. Next have one shop if I wanted somthing from there I would walk the center. madness.

Of corse for the PC guys and even console gamers mail order and internet is killing the shops.

Ohh is there? I know about the one in Chapelfield but didn't realise there was another one..

But it doesn't detract from my point that it is insanely pointless having a Gamestation just inside the entrance of a shopping centre and a game store just outside it when both stores are fairly big..

Yup, but I'm not sure how to go about and where to go to even buy shares! Not savvy in this area at all. I'd be tempted if i knew how.
