Whichever way you look at it, it's surely inevitable that with the likes of online game e-tailers including steam, plus supermarkets selling games, that there's just no way a games only retailer could survive for much longer.
If they were good at what they did, and tried to be competitive with their competition, they could have thrived.
The problem is that they are making you pay more, to go out of your way to one of their stores and put up with one or more of their irritating staff go on about other games that neither you, nor they care about.
The only advantage they had was the convenience that you could pick up games on the release date without waiting for delivery. However the saving you get online is often so big that you can get the quickest delivery so it gets to you either before, or on the release date and you STILL get the game for a cheaper price..
