*******C.A.R.S - Community Assisted Race Sim*********

*shrug* Not many care. No point developing it for such a minority crowd, frankly. No shame about it.

You can just arbitrarily limit yourself, if you want. Only permit tyre types and whole cars after you've won certain types of races.

The fact Forza and GT have made hundreds of millions of pounds I think your wrong. Even as a hardcore simmer *full iracing sub and AC, LFS, GPL* fan id love for something like GT on the PC i was hoping this was it.

If not the game will die as a sim its terrible. I couldnt care less if the STIG himself has been consulted its pretty clear the engine isnt up to it or the devs are not listening. As this game is not the most realistic sim out there, its not even close to the tool that takes that title. Its not even close to LFS for physics and thats not even in second place.

I really was hoping this would be GT on the PC with slightly better physics. I think lots of people are certainly ones I've spoken to.

Well, wrong or not: It didn't make the vote. That's the only bit that matters in the end.

In my own experience it is pish that anywhere near a majority of the sim community want a restrictive system like that of GT imposed on them.

Nope the game being enjoyable and fitting a role is what is important. If it doesn't do that it will bomb.
Its doing neither from listening to the userbase at the moment.

Anyway we all know the real reason why the game will fail. *But if I say anything, it goes and tells tales and I get a free holiday* :(

I had high hopes for this game. Shame its not going to be what I hoped for. As I will never pull the wheel out for something based on NFS physics.

You can't hear anything over the collective noise of everyone nosily throating the developers. :) Just look at the linked thread a few posts up for an example. Nothing but exemplary thanks for the delay for pages upon pages. Hardly an "unhappy" user base.

Also it appears you've mistaken me for someone that is actually in support of the game, or at least am trying to propagate that this is a "good sim" - I assure you I am quite the opposite, but for reasons other than they didn't copy Forza/GT. :)

P.s. you're allowed to say "It's crap" :)

I am actually quite amazed by how much this Game has grown on me since I decided to knuckle-down and persevere with it, yeah it's definitely still buggy and not ready for release but it really is beginning to shine, I've been playing it more and more, even dragged my T500RS & Pedals out from under the dust bunnies and the difference is just staggering, it's even made me blow £160 on a Next Level Wheel Stand... :o

I'm still very, very worried about Gamepad support in the Game though as I know vast amounts of new Players will be using a Gamepad and I fear the experience will put them right off. :(

They have never got the pad right from day one. Really twitchy in the early range of movement, but you can't flick the car left and right quickly. Worst of both worlds :D

Here's hoping they do decide to sort it soon because it's important like you say.

You could do something radical and report your findings...

in the official forum!!

Or are you using build 831?

Not kept track of the build numbers, think its 951, but could be wrong. Don't get much time to game at the moment so what little i do get i don't feel like firstly hunting through the thousands of bug reports and threads on the official forums, I've posted a bug before and after 3 or 4 "thats being reported already" replies the thread was deleted, so cannot be bothered at the moment.

Just a quick question if somebody knows? As a team member, do you get part of the profit share or is it just the discount on the finished game?
I have had a scout about on the wmd forums but I can't find an up to date straight answer and I can't remember myself.

Thanks :)

Cheers for that, I got an email about getting a 50% discount on the steam price but was not sure about the profit share. The 50% discount didn't look too appealing to me as release prices of games on steam are high anyway. I was thinking that it would be worth people getting a refund and using that money to buy the full game from a CD key site.

Not really.

The game only has to sell 250,000 copies across 4 platforms for you to get back what you paid for your tool pack.

I can see it selling more than that many on PC alone through Steam.
