*******C.A.R.S - Community Assisted Race Sim*********

I have the launch options set for the game and I was able to create a game the other night, but it's not working now. Server shows up in the backend link. It's not in the browser so I assume no one else has created a lobby.
 
This is all very frustrating. Initially I could see the *****OcUK_Forum***** server in the games bit list but couldn't join. Now you've added me to the whitelist I can't see the serve listed in game. I've tried the launch options but something's not right as I still see the list of 50 other servers. I've tried filtering by the server name to but as suspected that's not worked either :(

Also when I first tried to join I could right click you and Join Game but that option is now greyed out, yet Steam tells me you're in pCars (I guess not multiplayer?)

I'm also on your TeamSpeak server but you don't seem to be active?

Edit:

Have set server to public to see if randoms can join.

Will not show in the lobby until someone starts a session though or is using the -searchds or -autods switch.

When I bought this game.i really hated it. So I stopped playing it.but today I bought a g27 wheel.and it's so much better.but the only problem I have is when cornering the wheel seems to shudder.is this due to tyre force setting? If so should I lower it to make the wheel feel slightly looser?

Never mind I have fixed the problem. It's a lot easier steering now. This game is total different with the steering wheel, how much a difference it makes :-)
 
Does anyone who has a Fanatec CSR or a Thrustmaster TX have a good wheel/FFB setup for this?

With the exception of a few cars, I found out of the box road feel/FFB was a lot better in an old build compared to the retail version and has nowhere near the level of detail and involvement that I get in Assetto.
It's pretty much driving on marble with the odd bump here and there and no real feedback to let you know what's going on.

I've tried a few of Jack Spade's tweaker file presets and had no real joy with those, sadly.

Tbh, you shouldn't have to spend hours mucking about with unlabelled settings or third party fixes to get it feeling right, so any shared revelations would be most welcome :)

which options are the biggest fps killers.

Googled and found hat environmental map was one, any others? (290x)

detailed grass.
ultra cars are about 3-4x the polygon count of the next level down high? and you probably can't tell the difference

I would prefer a race without AI.

To help with player numbers, any objections to allowing friends of members in if needed as long as they race clean?

Accidents can and do happen, what I mean is giving way to race leader if being lapped etc and general "Gentleman" rules.
