*******C.A.R.S - Community Assisted Race Sim*********

Im waiting for a BMW with a USB port you can just hook into the computer and use a proper cockpit to drive the game with :p Its all fly by wire now anyway isnt it

Yet again you want all the disccusion that makes CARS look bad deleted ..and the good info kept ?
*sigh*
i want the arguments and misinformation deleted, and the useful information kept

a clear statement that says that, because junior builds get updated one a month (to the most recent version) that there is a high probability that a major physics update will occur which requires a leaderboard reset will occur a considerable time before they get their next build, rendering them unable to post times on the leaderboard

can we PLEASE put this to bed, even DG wants to put it to bed and your still arguing about it

Its not misinformation.

Massicor, i'm not responding to any more of your posts about the whole leaderboard argument. i dont agree with what youve been saying, but this argument has gone on long enough, and the argument is sitting like a giant dog poo in the otherwise beautiful garden that is the project CARS thread

Like I said ..the game is decent ..but run by snakes.

@ Reaper 392, seen that you have been racing on Road America with the Radical V8 from the picture you posted in the GD, so thought i would give that a try since i haven't touched the Radical in the game yet.

After doing about a lap i couldn't stand the default setup which had way to much power on understeer so after a lot of setup testing i was happy with the car, so i went after the WR and got it on my 5th try.

Try the setup below if your still driving on the combo, leave the steering ratio to what you are using now.

Ian has asked for these pictures not to be shown outside the CARS forum since they are of very early WIP tracks (which makes me think i shouldnt have shown the last two :o)

however, i cant not share these with every forum member who may have missed them, so have a link to some amazing screenshots: http://forum.wmdportal.com/showthre...d-Weather-System&p=99510&viewfull=1#post99510

this is what the game will look like once we get the live editing system for the lighting/weather engine, except we wont be looking at low poly stuff with WIP textures.

The lighting in those screen is stunning to say the least.

The fog is also playing a big factor in the overall feel too. It just adds a sense of depth to the enviroment / background.

i've got the go ahead from Ian, so i can finally show the non members what CARS can look like with tweaks to the lighting engine

please bear in mind that the tracks in these screenshots are very early WIPs. The devs have said that track width reduction and edge smoothing are top of the to do list, amongst other things
