Are you stupid ? really are you buddie ?
I didnt post anything before I owned the game you fool ...like i said a million times.
sorry, my bad, your right on this point. the top of page 23(?) is dated 12th december, but your posts are dated 13th
i guess it was either other forums, or Andy getting confused with your and DG's accounts
last response from me and ill leave you to your game as long as you stop the bs.

(unless your talking about the OcUK posts, in which case most of your arguments for leaderboards being an essential part of your roll in this project were absolute rubbish. for a full game i would agree with your points, but not for CARS in its current stage of development)
that s the whole point in your eyes maybe not but in my eyes it is vital . the game is supposed to be alpha so early enough stage to maybe change simple things like laps times which are very important in any racing game whether you agree or not ! do you see f1 on tv with no one doing laptimes ? or none of them being saved recorded . one of the most important thing in racing is your time ! yes its not everything but saying it isnt important is a lie. no matter what stage you at.
laptimes are important and if not why have they even added a them and leaderboards for others ? either disable the boards while doing the testing totally that way there isnt any encouragement to upgrade to have you times listed ( this is why i mentioned the greed part ; cause to have your times listed near enough always you need a dearer license build than junior) ) or just stay as you are and maybe log and do a leadboard for juniors . it wasnt a unfair request .
ok, lets make this as simple as possible.
- yes, i agree that laptimes are very important in racing games
- no, i do not agree that they are essential
during development.
- the leaderboards need testing just like every other part of the game so they will be included in the builds
- it would be unfair to all the other players if you were able to post to the same leaderboard with faster cars due to a physics update slowing the newer cars down
- it would cost a lot of time and money to develop code that would ultimately not be used in the final game to have different leaderboards in the builds
the problem you have is that we have differing views on what the game is about. your view is that it is another game to play with your friends that happens to be in development. my view is that its a game i am helping to develop, and whatever content i get will test to the best of my ability.
CARS isnt the only pre-release racing game to not have leaderboards. the demo of forza 2 had no leaderboards despite being far further in development than CARS.
lastly, i think we should just agree to disagree. you have your refund so are no worse off and it looks like we both like the game (aside from the whole leaderboard thing)
