*******C.A.R.S - Community Assisted Race Sim*********

basically as junior your lap times are only recorded a few times a month due to the builds and updated to the table . to have access to uploading your times everyday or regular you need a more expensive/ newer build .

thats it in a nutshell

its so daft even arguing about this . people are saying this and that but thats it

there is no arguing that. i just wanted to try to get juniors times logged as it is fairly simple they have the data already and it wouldnt cost or take much effort.

what has been wasted on this bs would probably of had a seperate table done and many junior members more happy than they are with current time table situation. this then leads to more people buying bigger more exspensive memberships instead of leaving over basic functions and the sms team losing there custom.

lol at Dg for talking like he is/has some kind of authoritative position. Dead give away that he has huge insecurities in life. You'll leave it alone "as long as you stop the bs" .. or what? You'll post again?

For someone who started all of this with "I've stopped playing, it's no skin off my nose" - you are doing an awful lot of bleating old chap.

As for your actual argument.. juniors more often than not, do not have the latest build. Ergo, it would be silly to record their lap times. The devs are, quite rightly, waiting until everyone is on the same level playing field before doing any of that, and are doing what they should be - concentrating on areas like the physics of the cars. Ya know, the stuff that actually matters.

Could you just let it die please, it's not fair to other users who want to talk about the game properly. And you've had your refund now.

you just dont get it do you ....juniors gave them money ..and they got given an "OLD" build ..the very least they could do is give them a leaderboard just like the other toolpacks have.

And as for you going on about Dg "talking like he is/has some kind of authoritative position" he also dosent like snakes ..so when they keep talking lies and stuff ..he will challenge them, hence - he said "as long as you stop the bs"

Juniors get the same build as everyone else on the first Friday of every month, if you don't like one build per month tough that's what you signed up for when you bought a Junior tool pack.

Seniors are saying the latest physics tweaks is rather good, can't wait for tomorrow. :D

Curse them for paying more and getting more builds in return:mad:

do you mean the senior managers? seniors only get weekly builds like the team members and full members (i assume you are one of those two, since your getting a build tomorrow)

also, i'd be happy for all the leaderboard argument crap to be deleted too (although if any mods doing deleting could leave in the couple of bits of the posts where i announced some of the new stuff that would be great)

Are there any other decent driving wheels out there that are not £200 + like the g27?

Currently using xbox controller which is fine for now however i would like to start playing with racing wheel but cant afford something like the g27.

You can pick up the logitech dfgt, Easily under £100 pounds, That is probably the best budget wheel on the market. It does not have a clutch pedal, Though you can assign a button for that, Also the force feedback is very good for the money and has a sequential shifter.

The good thing with the dfgt is you can use the g25/g27 pedals at a later date if need be or even the clubsport fanatec pedals ( dont quote me on that mind), I think I have seen these wheels for for £70-£80 recently.

Yet again you want all the disccusion that makes CARS look bad deleted ..and the good info kept ?

thrustmaster F430 and logitech DFGT are the top contenders in the ~£100 bracket.

if Mike hadnt very kindly given me his 35% off voucher for logitech i probably eould have gone for the thrustmaster, but it really is six of one and half a dozen of the other.

thrustmaster is:
- cheaper (~£80 vs ~£105 for DFGT with 20% off code for logitech for registering a product)
has much better pedals (stiff brake pedal, compared to logitech's no resistance pedals)
has good sized and quality flappy paddles

logitech:
- has a sequential gearbox as well as pedals
- has 900 degree steering vs the thrustamsters 270
