i still dont get much feeling from the tyres with my wheel...

i need to mess with the logitech profiler but its set up perfect for iracing right now and i cant be bothered to mess with it...
theres an issue with logitech wheel FFB right now. they are working on it, but it sounds like a strange one:

theres another thread about alt + tab affecting FFB, but i cant find it right now

Why do people keep talking about 'investment opportunities' on the wmd forum? All I can see is getting my 25 Euro payment knocked off the game when it comes out.
Am I missing something obvious here?

i cant find where it says so, but you get a share of the profit made on pCARS. 250,000 sales gets you slightly more than breaking even, 1,000,000 sales gets you ~4x your investment back iirc

*edit*
aha, here we go: http://www.wmdportal.com/projectnews/tool-packs-perks-and-fees-101/

Hasn't all that changed since the vote to go for a full retail release? Rather than a free to play game with micro transactions.
not as far as i know. what has changed is who gets the game for free. before everyone got the game for free with some DLC equal to the value of their membership. now juniors and team members get their membership value taken off the price of the game, whereas full members and above get the game for free

feel free to prove me wrong, but i am pretty sure that this is is how its working now

i can remember your pb ban for aimbot ;)

but to anyone wanting to play this game go at least team member junior not worth it.

I`m sorry if i offended you dg it was meant as a playful comment. But please could you keep any future comments about me and kindly keep my kids of out any future posts.I`m sure you understand comments about one`s children are a little below the belt in my eyes.
Anyhow enough thread derailment upgraded to team member package and tryed the roads maps out,its shaping up really well.Still finding the ffb not as immersive as rfactor 2 though.

You may not get the chance to.

Apparently there's a deal for the rest of the required funding pending and if it's signed then the option to buy tool packs will be closed.

We've been told that there's possibly only a few weeks left in which to buy tool packs.

This is all assuming that SMS are happy with the contract on offer and do actually sign.

I see.

Is there any way to play this game with a PS3 controller connected via USB cable?

its not an official fix, but matt has found something that makes the FFB about a million times better for Logitech G27 owners:

what you need to do is, whenever you go into a race, press F1, then under Vehicle settings look for the "FFB Grip Multi" and "FFB Tyre Force Multi" and make them 10 times smaller.

once you've done that press F1 again and the menu will disappear and those settings will stay on until you exit the session (restarting should be fine). if you exit the session you will have to reapply the settings

Yes. What you need is the MotioninJoy driver. I just tried the newest 0.7 version. When you run it the first time you might see an error. Skip it. You might also be asked to reboot. I did.
Video here. The bit I usually forget is to load the driver inside the DS3 tool.

I've just tested it choosing the Playstation 3 mode in DS3 and the custom keypad option in pCARS (had to choose buttons etc).
Thank goodness for my wheel is all I'm saying!

I've been using the F1 menu for a while too, it smooths the FFB and it just feels much more nice to use. Some might say it's too weak but you can always adjust the strength for your style.

I think I maybe have to upgrade to Team Member, I'm dying to try out the new tracks!

Do it, you'll have to pay eventually any way, might as well do it now. :p

Try Azure Coast in the Formula 1 (A) car. You might need to tweak a few characteristics of the car. I soften the suspension a lot and have around 1.1bar of pressure on both tires. And rebounds etc. I make softer too, just test different setups to your taste. :)

Just ordered myself a second hand thrustmaster ferrari f430 wheel and f1 2011.

Thinking about giving this and iracing a bash when it arrives, is the basic package with the monthly builds a decent option ?

i'm not going to be playing this hardcore so i don't think that not having access to leaderboards all the time is really going to bother me at all, and as i'm a complete noob to driving games with a wheel, i can't see myself getting bored quick enough to require a new build every 5 minutes.

Seems as if this game has some potential from what i'm reading, anything i need to bear in mind to mkae the expirence more enjoyable?
