Think I need to tweak the settings. Does it make use of crossfire do you know? It seems to struggle on my 5850s.

from what ive heard it makes fairly good use of crossfire. its worth having a good look round the forum to see what everyone else is doing for crossfire cards. ive heard that renaming the game AFR-friendly something or other helps in some situations, but since i only have the one card i really havent payed much attention to this kind of thing

I was very impressed with the graphics on the cars, they looked great, it's a shame you can't rotate the view and have a look around it while blasting down a straight. Would also be nice to be able to see the car in the selection menu but again early build blah future blah...

you can do this. have a look in the controller setup, because there is something for look left, look right, look up and look down. theres also a look back button. i have no idea what they are set to for the keyboard though

To adjust the camera in game:

Press CTRL+K then use NumPad arrow Keys and WASD to raise, lower, pan, etc. Q & E are also used.

I think the only reason they are against modding is the difficulties games like rFactor, ARMA franchise, etc. have when it comes to multiplayer and ensuring everyone has the same mods. I.e. a royal PITA.

Sometimes it's nice just to play a game rather than spend hours trying to find tracks and mods and then find no one is playing them.

Thanks for the replies, will download the latest version and have a look.

New build includes a new track, Monterey, or Laguna Seca. Depending on whether they licence all the tracks at some point.

And the BAC Mono car.

I'm not really into racing games. I've always wanted to play them though as I love watching Formula One and used to watch Rallying.

I got this and am playing with an Xbox 360 controller currently. I am finding I am getting a lot of over steer when playing, specially in the Formula A car :P. The only trouble with it is that the Xbox controller seems to be a little turn or a massive turn so I try correct and it then just spins in the other direct. Not sure what setting I should change with the controller to make the turning more gradual with the stick.

I was looking at maybe getting a wheel but don't really want to spend the £200+ for these popular ones. Does anyone have one they can recommend that is a fair bit cheaper?

Logitech DFGT can be had from £80-£112, and go for around 40-50 on the bay.

I'm 22nd on the Monterey (Laguna) board, pretty poor considering I was using a formula A. Such a beast to drive.

Might try beating it with the jag or asano.

Not sure I'm keen on the BAC Mono, oversteer in third gear at near full throttle. I would have thought the back end whould have been fairly planted with that massive diffuser on the back.

i'm having the same oversteer problem with the G27, its almost impossible to correct it. i've only had the G27 for a couple of weeks, so it might be that i;m just crap with the G27 though

you can get a G27 for ~£190 new if you shop around, a DFGT for ~£100 from the logitech store with the 20% discount for registering stuff, and a thrustmaster F430 for ~£80

It seems a little odd that I couldn't find the system requirements to play the game until I paid 10 euros! Only then could I access the FAQ which told me! Turns out I can't play it after all!
