Why are the BMW's locked?

they were locked because of an error server side making them locked to everyone except the managers. this has now been fixed so they should work. i didnt think they were locked to junior accounts but they might be

why are sooo many tracks locked? - junior build

those would be the exclusive tracks for senior members+ that the guys have very kindly given to full members as well to get more numbers testing them

do you need to pay to play this? I noticed there was like £25/£35/£100 and like £29k options to buy it, can I not play it for free? Wouldn't mind trying it out

Its €10/25/45 and upwards for the packs which are intended for more extreme sim racing fanatics or businesses.

There isnt a free option, however there is a refund available if your not happy with it. Not quite the same thing as being able to enjoy playing something for free for a while, but its a safety net at least, so if your unhappy with it then they'll refund it without so much as a fuss, and if theres something specific thats wrong stopping you from trying it you'll usually find a few people chip in to try and solve the problem rather than lose a 'customer', at least make sure you can play it and if your not happy after that then fair enough.

Nice lap ^

This looks a lot better than I remember, is their support for the fanatec CSR and pubs port pedals? Can you race each other or is it just hot lapping at the moment?

How do you learn the braking points and all for playing without the racing lines? Is it trail and error, memory or just common knowledge? I can play arcade racers without them of course but sims i usually end up in the dirt without them :p

Generally you learn the tracks over multiple games so Monaco on a F1 game will be very similar to a mod for rFactor etc. It's also trial and error and once you are used to it, it will probably only take 3-5 laps to get the general jist of where to brake and such then another god knows how many laps trying to eek out the best lap times :p

You can also apply your knowledge of other corners to new tracks so you get used to understanding where the apexes are and how slow you need to be going to take certain corners.

My top tip, take it slow, brake early, learn the apex speed then build on that trying to out break yourself lap after lap. Also learn the car/setup as you might get away with taking more curb, breaking while turning or other such driving nuances.

Also practice :p
