Cabal Open Beta

Amin - does the game get more exciting? I was hooked early on but ive killed giant/huge spiders/skeletons/mummies so many times its getting ridiculous. I really like the game, but surely they should have made quests more difficult and more rewarding? I never worry about dying during a quest (unless i take on monsters outside of a quest in a hard area) and the XP seems to be the same for lvl 15 and lvl 30 quests so you just have to do more quests and the quests involve you killing/farming more of the same objects each time.

Does the feeling of grind ive found so far ever go away?

What he said, its levelling off to just a grind with no variance in the quests.

thats the same with every mmo, dont forget this really is the noobie zones and quests, just to get to grips with the game. Later on stuff gets a lot more challenging and thats only at 75/150 levels. Late game i can imagine things getting seriously challenging.

Don't have the time to download it atm, might give it a go in September... In the meatime, is there any PvP in there? And is it completely open-ended PvP, or is it faction-based PvP, like WoW, or arena-based, like in GW?

Currently been stuck into being in partys so much easier to level up and can be fun especially doing party dungeons which are actually pretty challenging and requires speed. Definetly at the boss everyone unloading there battle skills lol. Currently level 55

pvp pre-75 is fairly open ended so far BUT, at 70 you choose a country to align yourself with. At that point there are regular guild wars and country wars to compete in so it sounds pretty pvp orientated.

one method i found early on was if i was doing a quest which involved killing something several times, if anyone is in the area just invite them into a party. Or you could just spam the main channel looking for a grinding party.

75 levels in open beta atm, and its quite a fast process, but retail will be 150 supposedly

The movies and screens of this looked pretty good. Its very similar to RF Online though (aka typical badly made korean game) with some rule changes and new features. And still worse than Lineage. I regret playing WoW now because every other game is just useless compared to how well built it was.

But if you really want a grindathon game with pvp elements and good graphics, go Lineage. Its crap but better than this.

I was expecting modern version of the Original Cabal arcade game not yet another rpg. ;)

Ive recently taken advantage of the City of villians online trial. makes a change from the usual worrying about finding rare items and buying a selling of a million items just to progress.
