If I preorder the game on PSN now will I definitely get a Beta code? Is it possible to cancel after with PSN?

Or does an online retailer with easy cancel options offer the code?

Preorder with game and you get the beta code. You can cancel is straight after if you wish.

No code needed for digital pre orders and yes you can cancel preorders.

This feels like the easiest option for me, as I buy my games digitally anyway. It's unlikely I would cancel. But it's good to have the option. If I changed my mind to buy it later it would most likely be the same price on PSN anyway.

I will try to find some cheap vouchers and do this tonight.

For the pre-loading is there a time window I need to leave my console in standby mode (I don't have it plugged in at the moment).

Sorry that's what I mean, I pre-ordered the Xbox One version and have already redeemed for the Xbox but have a second code I could use for my PS4?

I had my code from Amazon last night, when I redeemed it, it have me the choice of either to chose for, so I guess you can redeem it for the ps4, you will then get a code for that console on the 19th.

Interesting to see such differing opinions, MW3 had its faults but I still really enjoyed it. Without actually looking it up I probably put as much time in to MW3 as Blops 2 though neither got played as much as MW2.

I was watching some Thunder videos yesterday and I agree with him. It sounds like there is simply going to be too much going on with insta melt weapons, scorestreaks and specialist abilities. Roll on the next CoD that covers a historic campaign rather than futurustic so we can have it simplified.

I agree that it's going to have too much crap in. It should have kill streaks only. It doesn't need stupid specials. I can't wait to have a 15 kill streak ended by come scrub who is 0-20 but his golden gun has charged and wipes me out with a lucky shot.

And you also know they will include exploding things with ridiculous blast ratios that kill you even if you're around the corner.

Dons tinfoil hat:

It's interesting to think if all this media hype and a beta around Black Ops 3 is because the franchise is nosediving (and fast) with the last two games not being received well by the community. I mean it's unprecedented to have this much info out there about the next CoD already, at this stage normally we know practically zero about the MP.

Apologies if this has already been mentioned but isn't Blops 3 having a voting system where you can choose which perks/abilities to protect or remove from that round ? Or is that for "e-sports" only ?

It is interesting and I don't think you need a tin foil hat for thinking that. Though having this much information and the beta may increase hype but may also lead to reduced sales. How many people bought Ghosts and/or AW and then sold it on almost instantly? I know I did. 5 days of the beta is enough time to work out if you will like it so I can see there being thousands of pre-orders being cancelled after the beta.

I thought was only in the e-sports bit and (from memory) it seemed only weapons that were in the voting. Maybe it does include perks and specialist abilities too.

They should leave all the boosting and mad jumping to halo which was part of the original game to start with and thus the map design is much better for it, in cod it seems to be just another add-on to try and make it new and different.
