A lot of the specialist abilities and/or weapons seem OP. As Quinnay says they will be rage inducing if you're on a big streak and you get killed by the bottom player who has no other killed and has just got their ability. They've clearly been put in to make sure even the lowest skilled players get some sort of reward.

Check out the latest thunder vid - he makes it sound like it could be how bad mw2 became with all the noob tube bs. Imagine all this on tiny maps.

But the crap players at the bottom won't get to use the specialist powers anyway because they'll still be crap players.

For me it sounds great, but then I've not been on destiny to get bored of them or be wary of them.

From what I have seen yes they will. The specialist abilities are like destiny in that they don't reset on death. Obviously if a player is so rubbish they go 0-30 then yeah maybe they wont have it but someone who is considerably below average probably will. If they are like Destiny then there is nothing you can do about them.

But if you're on a massive kill streak and it comes to an end thanks to some scrub OP specialist ability, it's going to be infuriating.

It's only when you use them that they are gone. So all you need is somebody with one to wait in a corner til you run past, enable it and get a kill.

you could always buy star wars battlefront instead. i'll be getting both no doubt. as well as taken king and fifa.

new need for speed looks tempting too. so many good games coming out now.

I am tempted to buy a XB1 just for halo 5 (dedicated servers).

But I would want an elite controller as well then. £350 just for 1 game is too much then.

I suppose it depends on specifics, I can only speak of Destiny supers (which CoD seems to have copied) but in Destiny, most supers give you extra health/shield so it is very rare you ever win a one on one. There are obviously exceptions where you can survive but in the vast majority of times you're dead and there is nothing you can do about it.

As it stands I really hope the beta shows CoD is much better tha we are expecting as I am still very undecided about TTK and we haven't seen enough actual gameplay from battlefront. NFS does look good though.

Edit: Yup, chatting to Dredd the other night I am tempted for an XB1 too. Being undecided about TTK, Battlefront and Blops3 that is £100-£120 that could be put towards an XB1 and with Halo 5 and Forza 6 soon it is tempting.

From the gameplay I have seen you don't seem to get any extra health or anything.

Tmartn posted a video of some pro players playing it at Gamescom and they would call in the super ability and I think 7 times out of 10 they got killed before they could even use it.

The graphics, movement, and maps look fantastic and remind me of BO2 which was awesome. I just hope its not going to cater the noobs, and be flawed by unnecessary added rubbish like the specialists. I also want them to get rid of SBMM in public lobbys but dont think that will happen as i watched a video and he basically mentioned that you couldnt reverse boost etc (unless he was talking about ranked matches)

I also like the idea of that the ranked matches playlist (forgot its name, Arena or something) goes on wins not k/d and goes on individual performance.

Has there been any mention if can pre-load the beta and how you get access to download it? Entered the code i got for pre order for ps4 on the bo3 website but havent heard any thing elese

How about a perk that shows people's footprints on the ground or a perk that highlights on your map when people are near you? Is that nooby enough? :rolleyes:

It is, but i suspect there will be a perk to counter it, but this sort of stuff shouldnt make it to the game.
