Call of Duty 2016 - Includes COD4 remaster

COD4 has the same annoying things as ever.

I never got the immense hardon for cod4 that the internet seemed to have, i hated how the call-ins stacked and you could own the map with them. Just never got into the game as dying as soon as you spawned seemed to be the order of the day in some maps, which has become a staple of the series.

The only thing I think is good about COD4 is the map design. Everything else is pretty poor by 2016 standards.

Managed to finally fix my low FPS issues:

1: use Window Borderless mode so its full screen with no borders on the window.

2: Disable the 6 different cached shader settings (both sun & shadows) & the preload settings as well as use extra VRam so it keeps it to 4-5GB Vram @ 4K.

Then it runs as I would expect even with extreme Filmic TX2AA mode but still lags a little at times I think it needs patching to optimize Aaparently the Nvidia drivers released last week were optimized for CODIW but not yet for COD4!

It was all about Promod and the competitive scene!

Does cod4 remaster have dedicated servers/ a server browser or is it p2p type thing?

Same old useless p2p. No way of kicking hackers still...

Modern warfare was great with dedi servers, we had 5 servers running 24/7 crash/kill house/shipment and 2 running promod for clan games, all that has gone since MW2. :(

Anyone else here think eventually they will sell COD4 remaster on its own on steam?

I think they wait a while to see how many people will buy the new modern crap and then when numbers start to dwindle down put COD4 Remaster for sale on its own too to milk in some money from just that.

Why the lol? Its the same as anything else, if a product dosent work it would go back for a refund. This isnt any different and lots of people are having the same issue

Yes and lots of other people aren't having issues. So the product does work...

It's the chance you take when buying of a CD Key site. Hence why Steam and Origin have the refund process.

Good luck with the refund though as I thought the Credit Act covered for over £100?

This game is DOA if what Angry Joe says about them splitting the player base so that Steam players cannot play against Microsoft Store players is true. That's insane. The player count is the lowers for a CoD release and when any DLC starts coming down it'll split the players even more...both on Steam and MS Store.

What an absolute, money-grabbing mess.

Good luck trying for a refund from cdkeys or any other key site you have redeemed the key hence its forever more tied to you and STEAM are the only ones who can refund you for this and only if you buy it from them.

You pay the cheaper price it comes with the risk.

Its a working product since cdkey only have to send you the key that's the end of sale if you tried to get the money back on paypal or something they would go after you for the money and maybe end up with a mark on your credit file.

Its not there problem it doesn't work on some peoples machines.

The campaign is good. It feels like an arcadey epic big budget demo of Star Citizen's Squadron 42. Probably the best CoD campaign since MW1.
