And for people like me who have no access to fibre internet and who are stuck with 1MB/s ADSL2+? Downloading a game of such a size is a big no no, and then they start throwing 40GB patches around. **** that ****! It's just taken me Four days to download GTAV
It is a joke tbh, and using COD as an excuse to spend hundreds as justification on hardware is nothing short of highlighting that your a bit of an idiot.
Its not that good, its not groundbreaking in anyway the only decent thing it has it great audio imo, but then it always has had good audio.
But then its not my money I spend too much on needless crap same as everyone else

I've spend a fair amount of time playing it due to lockdown, TV/films gets boring quick for me so COD has been great at keeping me entertained, other than exercise and work.
I can join mates who mainly use consoles for the first time and chat even if we are rubbish in a team together. It's a laugh playing Battle royale / plunder with friends.
The multiplayer (not Warzone) i generally just play by myself and focus more on the weapons and testing new weapons with mods. It's the first game I have played that allows the weapon mods to this degree
Audio, I have AKG 702 headphones output from a Xonar Essense soundcard then I paid for Dolby Atmos through Dolby Access. It sounds fantastic
The money I would have (easily) spend at bars, clubs and festivals has been spent on a new SSD (£235) and GPU upgrade (+£400) A drop in the ocean compared to what I would have spent had we not been in lockdown - Ski holiday, 2 stag do's and 2 festivals, not to mention all the restaurants, bars, clubs and everything else.
Anyway, back on track. I'm currently loving the SCAR and FAL combo. SCAR for close quarters and FAL with the 4x flip hybrid scope
The first iron sight that looks nice to me is the SCAR
The new AR, the Galil, is a beast. Just finished maxing it in multi ready for Warzone. Done the vector too.
They always make new weapons overpowered to mix things up so enjoy them before they get nerfed!
BFV used to do the same with every new gun too.

What's the Galil, the CR-56 AMAX? Hopefully they nerf the crap out of the Grau to stop everyone being boring in Warzone and using it. I don't think any weapon should have an advantage over others, just different uses / pros/cons

Hmmm, seems I have lost a ton of ranks since season 4 dropped. Is that normal? I was well over 100 now I am 54?

edit - I have a query about barrel and stock gun mods.
Is adding something like the XRK marksman barrel on a weapon, but then countering it by having no stock to make it more mobile something that actually works in weapon mod favours?
I'm pretty certain that in real life adding a long range barrel with having a stock to rest the weapon steady would result in shots firing all over. In COD I have tried this with a couple of weapons basing it on the green bars - keep them all as high as possible even if it means doing stupid things with the weapons.
An example being the Scar with long range barrel and no stock. It's mobile, good for long range and the recoil isnt too bad. Why though, the gun control in real life would be turd without a stock to control the weapon at long ranges

There's a LOT of info on Reddit people have done with ADS speeds, recoil patterns and all manners of other weapon testing. I would be nice for someone to re-create meaningful weapon comparisons with bars to show how they differ from the game ones
I'm finding the Scar seems like one of the best weapons I have used so far. I used it a bit when I first bought the game but quickly moved on to use the AK47, still I like the iron sights on the Scar much more and it just seems to work better for me. That or maybe I was just worse when I was using the AK47 as it was a few months back
edit - Why do the weapons not show the default ammo clip size? I have to guess, use the gun in core mode or test in hardcore how many shots each gun has. This basic info should really be on the weapon selection, but can't see to see it.
Also, what does the Perk 'full loaded' do? It say's something like "Max reserve starting ammo." Does this therefore mean that sometimes you do not get a full 20 rounds in a clip on an AR or the weapon is just missing a few?
Ignore the full loaded, this is the ammo reserve as it says.
Multiplayer starts with max all the time (I think?)
Warzone I forgot you only get 1 clip by default and have to hunt for ammo in crates / off dead people

It's a mental thing. It rewards your brain to see yourself go up in ranks and unlocking things. Everything from the animation to the noises are all designed to make you hungry for more. When you get to 155 its a bit empty after a game and gives you less reason to play (even if it is subconscious)
