Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare / Warzone (Battlenet ID's in OP)

I don't get people complaining about the size of the COD MW install. Thats why 2, 4 and now 8TB NVMe SSDs exist, even larger normal 2.5" SSDs.
Hell, in 2010 i'm sure my porn collection was over 200GB. I put my life savings on some OCUK members having a porn collection way over 200GB!

Edit, just had a quick look.
Seagate Expansion Desktop 10 TB External Hard Drive HDD - USB 3.0 for PC Laptop (STEB10000400)
£170
Install COD on SSD, dump all your media (porn) onto that. Job done
Yeah we should just throw more money at the problem! It's a joke unless you have a 500gb SSD the game literally requires a dedicated 250gb drive for it.plus 80gb updates every other week! Some people still have fair usage policy's on there BB too!
But I would expect no less from someone with no concept of money!

Yep its pretty ridiculous. I downloaded 44gb but yet the install size has only gone 4gb I think after the patch.
Still 200gb install is just beyond even DICE and Rockstar installs and its not even like its the best looking or sounding game or there are deep RPG mechanics involved.

I expect I'll be uninstalling now Plunder has gone anyway, its the only mode I enjoyed but I actually only bought the game for SP anyway so its all good.

Plunder is still there? It's on the same screen as solo BR

just how games are buy a bigger ssd forget about it. great deals at moment many ssds about £90-100 for a 1tb. cod really needs to be on a ssd.

vector what a op gun kids will buy it with real money nerfed next week. :D

Yeh, no-one has ever thrown money at tech to overcome lack of storage / speed / quality...
External 3.5" floppy disk reader on my Amiga i'm sure cost over £100 in the early 90s. Meant not switching disks for games over and over

yes because we all have an extra £100 to throw at it.
I suppose if Activision Blizzard told you that you needed a £100 pencil sharpener so games would load faster you would be the first to pre-order.

Terrible theory. If they told me I needed another 16GB RAM then I would buy it for £100 as would benefit other programs & games.

As its the only game I have properly played in ~3 years and spend more time on than any game ever then £100 is peanuts. It's not like there's loads to go out and do at the moment (bars, restaurants, activities, cinema, holidays, gigs, festivals...)
I upgraded my GPU to a 2080Ti specifically for COD MW, glad I did, it plays better than before

Qft. Same with me.
(except I HAVE purchased another 16GB but not to benefit from all other apps including the new Flight Sim coming soon).

Is it a terrible theory?
The GPU and extra ram will benefit you in other games but the wasted storage space and pencil sharpener don't.

Infact, it depends.
Your theory was "if Activision Blizzard told you that you needed a £100 pencil sharpener so games would load faster"

If the stats proved that games actually did load faster, they yes. I would 100% buy a £100 pencil sharpener.
If not, then no I wouldn't.

Storage is never wasted. I remember thinking that a 10GB HDD could never be filled back in ~year 2000. I'm sure many people have commented that HDD and RAM could never be fully utilized... only a few years later for it to run out and more be needed

Too many guns are just straight up trash now, existing guns have clearly had recoil tweaks to also make them worse.

less about space more about the download.

Wouldn't be so bad if their servers could cope but for every update they might as well just say 'you can't play this game for at least 24 hours whilst our servers crap out with dire dl speeds '

Actually took me 3 days total to do the last update. First day could barely hold a connection, second day always under 1MB and only on the third day was I getting 3MB speeds.
I jumped on at 7am for the last patch. Was done in less that 40mins
