Can my GM stop me from buying stock from the store??

Out of spite go to the next nearest Purple Shirt store and buy it there with your staff discount, then your boss misses out on the sale next week.

Yes is the answer unless you want to pay full price, even then he can refuse.

At the end of the day he is looking at you as an employee and not a customer.

Just buy it from another store using your discount, he can refuse to sell anything to anyone, that's his right. Oh and aren't the purple shirts changing to a fetching shade of pink soon ? enjoy :D

lol, yea, were going to be wearing the sexual pink soon!

Thing is though, no other stores have got them in...Is there any kind of loophole (other than headbutting the GM) to get my macbook with staff discount?

Why are you so desperate to get it? It's a laptop for christs sake, it's not like the guy is depriving you of food.

And no, there's nothing you can do. A shop manager could refuse to sell anything if they wanted to, it's just an invitation to treat.

How many other laptops can you buy that are made from a solid block of aluminium and have a glass trackpad and runs OS X? Anyway, he wants the new MacBook . :rolleyes:

The OP needs to pop over to the Apple forums and get an HE discount, much better than buying from the shop where he works.

ahh yeah thats going to be machining then.

Although god knows why they do it, it will produce a huge amount of waste cost a lot because of that and still not be as thin/light as a simple pressed case.

I know, milling is just weird science! Who would've thought that any company could make something out of a single piece of aluminium?? Welcome to the 21st Century!

Next they'll be telling us that they can make car tyres that don't deflate if you get a puncture.
