You like to keep your house smelling clean and smelling nice, but you smoke in it?!

Not sure if it can exactly, however my new neighbours smoke weed every other day. At first this wasn't really an issue, I'd only smell it if they did it on the street or with their front door open (Could not smell it in my room). However they have since started to smoke on their back door, or sometimes hanging out the bedroom window next to my window, and unfortunately this means the smell clings to the wall area at the back and seeps in through my windows as they have poor sealing and let in a fair bit of air. This now means I can smell their weed smell every time they've done it and have woken up several times this week as they are sparking up.
So although it may not be travelling through the walls, but could be travelling through poorly sealed windows / doors / vents. Have a word with them, a pleasent one, and try to come to an understanding. Don't do what my neighbour did and say 'It's my property I can smoke it wherever meeeigghhhttt' yet know full well that smoke doesn't just sit where you smoke it and travels through the air and all I asked was if he could limit his use at night as it's waking me up everytime.

have been very pleasant with them it justi feel very annoyed cause i cant see any possible way for them to say it coming from mine when she stands on here back door under her kids bedroom and smokes

i was just at the window getting some air and i heard a voice say hello ? it was a female but the funny thing was i could not see anyone???????

no i dont drink or do drugs, i just poped my head out the window and heard the voice soon as i did
sounded close to like on the path below or something , i am sure it was directed at me
she sounded young, like 13 or something,
its normal to sit at the window and get air you know, why is that wierd to you?
Basically everytime i say i am going out or doing something , she says on my own?, wtf is that suppose to mean. if i bring a girl in she starts questioning me what have i been doing with her, she cleary dosent want me to have anything in life as she has never been a giving person , i even think she is a demon or something , like pure evil in a quiet way...., i don't wanna move out because i can't aford to.
I might start to shock her, like rent out another place and go for a month just to show if she trys to 1 bit put me off doing anything , she knows i am gone, i don't wanna just forget her forever as she has been a good mum that's fed me well and stuff, its just the things she comes out with like, i have to be with people todo something????????

Even if smoking did not harm people's health, it certainly harms a Christian's testimony! 1 Thessalonians 5:22 tell us to "Abstain from all appearance of evil." You forget that you're combining GD with the typical level of piousness of non-smokers. You're going to get doused in people's colossal levels of unwarranted self importance whether you asked for it or not.
Also a smoker and I think the guy's got brass neck coming round blaming it on you if his missus also smokes.
As an ex-smoker, I concur. The smoke is very noticeable, and hangs around. When you're a smoker, you can't smell it.

I can confirm it absolutely does - my parents-in-law live in a semi, and the guy next door smokes like a chimney, and it's seeping through the walls - the kids were staying there the other week, and I went in to see them before we went to bed, and I honestly thought for a second that one of them had started smoking it was that strong - as they're 5 and 3, I quickly resolved that they weren't, but it was hugely noticeable.
It seems worse at night, so maybe it's a still air thing, or a temperature thing, but no, I don't believe your neighbour would be making it up, and while it's almost certain that there's nothing he can do about it, (I'm certain there's not much my in-laws can do to their next door neighbour apart from discussing it), it's very likely that the smell of the smoke is in their children's room.
Whether that is enough incentive for you to modify your behaviour is solely a decision for you!

Not really, my blood pressure was ridiculously high the entire time I gave up smoking. I started again and my blood pressure shot down to normal levels again.
It's not "hey, he's rationalising" my body physically changed to a healthier state when I started smoking again.
I gave up for health reasons, not because I didn't enjoy it, it seemed counter intuitive to give up for health reasons if m health then deteriorates.

First thing I would have thought was why would someone complain that smoke is entering there children's room if it isn't. My personal view is if they say smoke is coming into there children's bedroom smoke in different room. I cant see it being that much of a hardship unless you only have one room. I would hate to think that my dirty habit could be affecting someone to be honest. You cant go outside but a quick compromise would be to smoke in a different room while the weather is bad. I'm not a fan of the smell of smoke and welcomed the ban in pubs because it was horrible going to a club and coming home smelling of smoke. I would hate to have my house smell of smoke.
If that's to much of a issue stop decorating all the time save the money from that haha and buy a detached house.

So if you cant stop the smoke passing why not just say fair enough I wont smoke in that room to save the issue?

I fail to believe there wasn't another lifestyle factor you could have changed to lower your blood pressure rather than taking smoking up again.

Sorry but anyone smoking that much in their house is just gross.
It's very possible that the smoke is somehow seeping through, given that it's constantly filling your house. Smoke outside and don't be a slob, and think of your poor dogs that have to breathe that crap in with no choice in the matter.
