Can you prove that God does not exist?

So you picked one verse out of thousands.
some verse are the same some arent. some have completely diffrent meanings. As I said hell is a good one, some say hell some say fire, thats two very diffrent things.

And the argument over which version of these passages has made churches splinter, ones eternal torment which goes against and all loving god, the other means wiped out with fire, which can still fit with the all loving god theory.

Also what church are you from Vegetarian?

All bibles are basicly the same - all saying the same stuff.

How naive to quote that bit. The bible has been adapted many time to manipulate the people for political means.

They are not the same God... altho Jesus is in islam - islam ignores everything Jesus did and taught. Islam and christianity preach different messages - but at same time says God never changes His mind - so one is lying.

Why only one?

No, you can't prove that God does not exist.

I'm sure this fact won't prevent many pages of thoroughly reasonable argument being created.

Learn about the Bible and its transformation over the years before talking like this. Compare something as poetic as the KJV to the more historically reliable NIV—even the Ten Commandments are different (e.g. kill/murder, respectively, and the more ambiguous wording in the KJV to keep things concisely dramatic and powerful), along with a host of different interpretations, wordings and geographical locations. There's a reason that scholars use certain versions of the Bible and not others...

You're so horribly uneducated you could quite easily be mistaken for a troll.

& to all those who simply come out with "I've not seen God therefore he doesn't exist" and analogies to fairy tales, get some sort of perspective before entering the topic.

'God is all powerful'

If god is all powerful then logically he not only permits but actively engages in evil deeds throughout the world today.

From this, we may consider three outcomes:

God does not exist.
God exists, is all powerful and is also inherently evil.
God exists, is not all powerful and may be a force for either god or evil.

The third option is the only realistic solution since it is not arrogant enough to pertain to know all the answers.

Agnosticism for the win

why? as you have no understanding of what's happening?
If God is supposed to be so righteous and great please let me know why there is so much suffering and hate in this world. :)

For the love of god nobody say "Everything happens for a reason." either.

...it's called free will. The point in asking such a blatantly trivial question = ?

If free will exists then god is not all powerful?

edit: In fact, if free will exists, then surely god has absolutely no influence in the world. Since all living things must have free will, does this mean the only thing god controls is the weather?

Its a global warming conspiracy. I knew it!

It's a cop out reply. If however religion said "disobey god and a big foot will appear out of the sky and squish you like a bug" then to to observer god is indeed present.

Everything to do with religion has no proof, "faith" and all that are invisble pschyo-babble designed to fool people.

Stop taking things so absolutely in black and white. The power to assign free will does not imply lack of absolute power—if anything, the opposite—it's one thing to create drones, it's quite another to create one capable of independent thought. Please, please, please get some basic knowledge on the subject before stirring up pseudo-controversy.

FFS, stop with the paradoxical arguments. Anyone can do it, and anyone can create them pertaining to mankind, rendering your existence flawed in such a sense. Boring and irrelevant.
