Canadian Grand Prix 2012, Montréal - Race 7/20

@Duke - I thought Whitmarsh confirmed after the race that the different setup was what they planned to run on Friday but didn't due to all the problems, and that they reverted to the same setup at Hamilton for Sat and Sun?

I never said anything of the sort

Was simply posting my views on the current situation.

Sorry, that was aimed at deuse not you.

You make a very good point about the track choices. There are some great circuits out there that are left off the calendar in favour of sanitised venues that are by design bad for racing.

Not sure. They seem completely lost at the moment.

That's the official line, although I remember hearing a quote from big Ron saying that Button wouldn't have been allowed to run the suspension setup he had in the race if he was in charge. That implies they were different, unless Ron hadn't been kept up to date with the changes which had been made to the cars post practice.

Ok, so they may be onto a solution, but due to gear box shenanigans on Friday they never got a chance to try it out.

Perhaps you should have gone frigging testing then Button, you fool.

Uh, excuse me? What gives you the right to decide how much of a fan I'm allowed to be? Is that how it works in here now? Your not a real fan unless your complaining about everything? Or is it just if you don't agree with deuse?

If that's at me..then why call yourself HARD CORE F1 FAN?
your more like diet F1 fan..and my nurse says(who has read your posts) that you moan\argue more then her :D

Maybe you should not call yourself anything other then a fan :D

It may just be the coverage but Ron seems to be repositioning himself to take a more hands on role again. Whitmarsh also made those comments about being under pressure himself, something you don't normally expect from him and haven't heard before during spells of not winning or cluster ****s.

I do hope so anyway, whitmarsh has had long enough.

Damn iPad spell check, once it changed whitmarsh to titmarsh and once to whit rash :D

Worst I've got an iPad post ever. :D

Not really.

I imagine if Ferrari had told Alonso he had to go to a photo shoot instead of testing the Ferrari that clearly needed development he would have told them to shove their PR up their ****.

There are even quotes from Button saying that he didn't see any point in testing as there was nothing for him to test.

More exciting than a Trulli train.

Damn straight.
I am a huge supporter of DRS.
I remember the days of the procession - in fact we had one at Monaco 3 weeks ago and some people didnt like it. DRS has virtually eradicated processional racing and thats what I like.
