Canadian Grand Prix 2015, Montréal - Race 7/19

Rosberg goes 0.5 faster in the previous lap, Hamilton ups his pace and stretches the gap out again.

Rosberg really has suffered since the ban on driving technique discussion. He does seem to need to be babied around.

He can't compete with Lewis on even terms and he knows it. His only chance to get past him is using some kind of fuel/tyre/brake saving strategy in the hope he has more of those come the end but, now he can't get all the info on Lewis over the radio, he's totally lost.

I'm actually moving beyond exasperation with McLaren and Red Bull and into pure annoyance. The former have managed to lock two ex-champions, one of whom is possibly the best driver out there, into a hopeless dog and the latter has neutralised the biggest star of last year and the only non-Mercedes driver to win a race.

Both teams should be utterly ashamed of themselves. Personally I'd like to charge them with bringing the sport into disrepute.

Did you see the Ted & Bernie interview sitting at the desk looking out the windows before the build up?

Doesn't there need to be a litre of fuel left in the tank for the FIA analysis? Looked like most wouldn't have that left.

EDIT: Ah Crofty just answered that one :)

Wow at fuel.
One of a few races they don't under fuel then.

Yeah, keep forgetting Canada is the killer track for fuel, keep thinking it's aussie for some reason.

Said for half of last year and this year, basically need to just have a sensible situation in which a heavy fuel race gets 5-10kg more and places like monaco are 5-10kg(at least) less. It's not difficult to do a calculation and come up with sensible fuel usage for different tracks.

Wasn't a good race, it's really not helped by cars being out of position then you have what is normally anything from 1-8th Mclarens over the years who would lets say be fighting either Ferrari, Williams, Lotus or FI today are just missing. Mclaren being such a pos car means there is a hell of a lot midfield fighting.

Well he dominated Hamilton in qfy last year and I'm pretty sure they weren't having long conversations during hot laps. It's not that he needs to be babied around he just was never and will never be good enough. Sometimes the car just doesn't suit, sometimes the driver has been broken. Sometimes you just have a bad year like Hamilton did against Button. I think you are looking for things that don't exist.

Anyway I love watching Mclaren suck, team john major makes BAR supertech in 99 look good.
