Can't decide: 55" - B7 OLED or Sony X905

Don't think you'll be disappointed with the OLED everyone who has seen ours get envy and usually buy one within a month or so.

first credible ongoing oled burn in analysis I have seen - http://www.rtings.com/tv/learn/permanent-image-retention-burn-in-lcd-oled
(even though they are testing for worst case fixed image burn-in, could be indicative of problems that develop after5+ years with regular use.)

patents relating to oled 'correction circuitry' are interesting too, but maybe there are a similar number for lcd

I don't worry about burn in, i don't watch hardly any terrestrial TV so there's no static picture on the screen. Even when i have my computer on i go full screen on You tube videos

Oled all the way. I was so impressed I have decided to go all in and stick my Sony A1 Oled 55 for sale and get the 65inch version.

Just upgraded my really old 2nd hand 720p 55" Samsung Plasma to the LG B7 55" OLED.

Black levels are crazy and webos and the remote seem great. So far I have zero complaints.

I do wish it had Spotify unless I just can't find it yet.

Good thread this is. It's helping me to go for the LG C7 over the Samsung QLED stuff which is exactly the same price to replace my old Sony.

Can anyone comment how good LG's Web OS Smart features is compared to Samsung/Sony?

That's good to know. Don't really fancy a Sony. I think they are a little too over priced for what they are but they do look fab.

I'll probably go for the LG but hold out till black friday / xmas time to see if I can get a good deal. Just realised that my A/V Amp won't do 4K pass-through as it is about 6 years old. Looks like I will have to make use of the HDMI ports on the TV and send the audio down the the AMP until I get a new one.

I've had image retention problems on multiple LCD displays too, so it's not limited to OLED as a technology.

As I mention to everyone, just play it safe and go with the TV YOU want, from a respectable company with a good warranty.
