This is why I love this place, OMG BRITAIN IS SO BAD!!!

You have to carry around ID with you all the time in Germany, they have ID cards and have done since the 90's at least when I moved there. If you're an ex-pat (as I was there for 5 years) you need to carry around a passport or I guess this new ID if it appears over here.

I always carry ID around with me anyway....and when I'm on holiday, not in my country, I have my passport as a lot of places don't like your driving license.

I never said Britain is THAT bad anyway, if it carries on and becomes a nannie state/country/whatever then yes, I will start moaning

I find Germany a calm place, never had issues with it.

You step out of line, you know about it.

Anyway, if I was going to emigrate, I probably wouldn't go over there...I just said I may as well move over there at this rate as I've been over there so much this year

It's calm yes, but a lot more red tape than here, including things like ID cards!
