I'm not sure whether Spurs will let Redknapp do the job part-time for the remainder of the season. I think it's far more likely that a caretaker will be appointed until the end of the season and then Redknapp will takeover.
It's not like there's any meaningful matches before the Euros though, is it? A few friendlies, and that's it. He can show up/not show up/get his dog to pick the team until May, and it won't really matter.

See my earlier post, I've got tickets for the Holland game at the end of this month. That makes it meaningful!

I just can't see Spurs allowing him any sort of role at England until the end of the season. I've got a bad feeling that Pearce might handle things until May and then Redknapp will takeover.

Happy about this. Capello just didn't want to pick some players (Richards for one). Harry will get the youngsters in and start building something. Fancy our chances at the Euros more now Capello has gone.

Bye, bye, Capello, don't let the door hit you on the way out. It's a real pity he lacked the honour to quit after his spectacular failure at the last Cup, and the FA were dumb enough to give him a contract they couldn't afford to buy him out of.

As for the next manager, I have no strong opinions. I'd like an Englishman, but no-one springs to mind that has the background of success, the experience of dealing with top level players and - particularly - experience of the national game.

Stuart Pearce because he knows the younger players inside out and how to get the best out of them. Don't want a manager who just sticks with the older, experienced players like Barry, give the younger ones a chance like Cleverley.

I think Cappello jumped at the chance tbh. He's been nothing short of an utter failure whose been completely clueless from day one.
He knew his already damaged reputation would take another hit after another miserable campaign and so took the easy option.

Ok, I'm starting to think people are being serious about Pearce

The guy is the most inept manager I've ever seen. If he gets the job, I might finally give up on International football.

edit: I'm watching SSN. If people want passion, give the job to Barry Fry. He'll even take a leak in each corner of the Wembley pitch to make sure it's not cursed.
