the english waiter or the spanish one.....great choice lol

(majority of others are in brand new jobs, one they wouldnt give up in a month of sundays or ones you wouldnt want in the 1st place lol)

Maureen to take over at Utd in the summer, and SAF to get booted up to the board room while managing England as a part timer........BOL

(never going to happen, but I can imagine the appoplexy caused in here - would be SO entertaining )

Does Hiddink current have a job?

Lets face it the Euro's are going to be an end of an era for England anyway so I'd be surprised if it's not Stuart Pearce between now and next season and then Arry appointed following the tournament.

English footy is in for a shock when trying to find a replacement. Who would quit their current jobs to join England? Can only see English managers wanting the job. Along with the current quality of the epl I wonder if english teams are going to loose a cl spot.

redknapp with a deputy of pearce would be great and we'd be far better equipped for the euro's than we would've been under capello.

redknapp has made no secret of his interest in the england job (though he tried, just ended up contradicting himself with his closing sentences) and his age means that it's kind of a case of now or never.

he could take it on part time, ie still manage spurs, see england through the euro's and then the wc qualifiers and still see his 2 yrs out at spurs and see how far he can get us in the wc. by that time, pearce may be up to the pressure of doing it full time with beckham as a deputy.

No I dont think Hiddink has a job at the moment. And why would the FA let Pearce takeover for the Euros and then give Redknapp the job? Surely they'd give it to Redknapp as soon as the season finishes.

The FA has already sent a text to Harry Redknapp asking if he can help, unfortunately he doesn't know how to reply to it............

Bye, bye, Capello, don't let the door hit you on the way out. It's a real pity he lacked the honour to quit after his spectacular failure at the last Cup, and the FA were dumb enough to give him a contract they couldn't afford to buy him out of.

As for the next manager, I have no strong opinions. I'd like an Englishman, but no-one springs to mind that has the background of success, the experience of dealing with top level players and - particularly - experience of the national game.

I think Cappello jumped at the chance tbh. He's been nothing short of an utter failure whose been completely clueless from day one.
He knew his already damaged reputation would take another hit after another miserable campaign and so took the easy option.

Please stop posting

Pearce isn't a great manager but going into the Euro's he knows the younger players well which is who we should be playing alongside your likes of Parker/Rooney in preparation for 2014.

Capello to Stuart Pearce, what a monumental step down that is

is it really a step down though? we were awful at the world cup and we're hardly great entertainment in qualifiers and friendlies.

too much dead wood, be ruthless, cut it out and have a bash. we have nothing to lose.

this does have all the signs of a eriksson>mcclaren capello>redknapp scenario though. the FA are utterly clueless at times and i wouldn't like to see redknapp crucified if he failed, however, if he gave the youngsters a chance (like he or whoever the replacement is) should do, atleast no one can knock them for trying.

I wasnt a fan of redknapp a year ago, but he would probably galvanise the team, and I think that will be more important than someone who is tactically better.

Aside from him, Curbishley is available. Bryan Robson? Steve McLaren? :D
