Car keys

Always kept all my keys together. Never even thought that it could damage the ignition housing. Never had any problems with any of my cars though in that regard.

Happened to my Mum's RAV4, then again the way she had her house key and couple other keys on it was no surprise.

I've got all my keys on one fob; don't know if the keys are different with age, but I've got a 60 plate BMW so got the card-like key, not your typical key, and it doesn't move at all in the slot so I'm confident it'll be fine forever*.

I could not have that cause i have one of the old keys

Used to keep separate but it become a bit annoying after a while. Now they're all in one bunch. Not bad as I only have like 3-4 keys

Making my own orbitkey, bought a leather strip, just need to find a very thin Chicago screw so one of my key fit through it. :D

Separate. Just works better for me as otherwise my car key/the keyring ends up digging into my leg when it's in my pocket.

My three sets of keys - house, work and car - all have their own little clips on them and I clip them apart or together depending on what I'm doing.

House and car are usually together and work on their own.

House Keys on one keyring, used to have the office keys on a separate one as well but then we moved offices and went from 3 keys and a fob to one key so I just added the single new key to a separate ring on my house keyring (after all I never go to work without leaving the house :)). Car key however I keep on its own as I have keyless entry/start so it just goes into a pocket at the start of the day and is forgotten about, I don't keep it with my house keys as there are many times I leave the house without using the car.

I have a set of house keys, and then a set of motorbike keys which splits in two all for bike.. :p Alarm fob and ignition key. Then padlock key, garage key, gate key, disclock key, back door key...

FWIW, Once I have my own car, I'll have front door key on the car key's
