Car keys

That orbitkey does look good, especially if it can stop the keys from rattling around in the pocket and poking me in the leg, what are they really like?

Genuinely very very good. Like you I found that the keys kept poking me, or more often than not the house key would wear a hole in the back pocket of my jeans and start poking out, the Orbitkey stops all of that. The only key on it is my house key, the other two things are the accessories you can get for it in the form of a USB stick and a bottle opener. It's easy to swing out and use the key, however I can see it possibly becoming more annoying if you have a lot of keys on it (max it can take is 7 I believe).

The leather ones are quite pricey, but make a good birthday/xmas gift idea :)

Nope, never.

Car key always by itself as I can't stand a whole bunch of keys dangling from the steering column.

House keys/office keys always separate and kept in the door pocket.

No problem here with keys rattling or bashing my knee :) Have both doors and gate, I tend to loose the odd key so a bunch I tend not to loose!

Separate. Far too many keys otherwise, life is more complicated than one house key and one car key unfortunately. Choice of three cars with front door keys, or two bike locks with back door keys and shed keys, plus locker at work. Just too much to keep all in one place.

I really like that Orbitkey thing but I only carry with me the most often used keys:

I use a spare cuff-link end from one of my camera straps for the car key, easy to remove and less faff, especially when handing the key to a garage. I don't have the nails to get it out of a normal keyring :p

Sounds good, I have around 3 keys, but my current encrypted USB stick wouldn't fit into as its bulky, which is annoying, plus the holes on one or two of the keys are awkwardly placed.

One negative thing might be overtime the holder might become loose (?) and the keys would just come out rather than stay in place if you get what I mean.

Gonna make one of mine as it will only cost me £6.

My mother once scrapped her old car and got a new one, she proceeded to just put the new car key in with the old keys, without removing the old car key. She carried around a big old volvo key fob around for a few years before I eventually took it out for her. Women.

I keep my house keys and car keys separate, that way they're more streamlined in my pocket and don't stick out at awkward angles in my pocket.
